Celebrated my wife’s birthday with a lovely dinner. We were seated right away upon arrival which set a great tone for the evening. They started us off with some fresh bread which was absolutely wonderful especially with the olive oil vinaigrette. We enjoyed it so much we had to ask for seconds. To start, we shared the seared yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I went with the roasted crispy duck. It lived up to its name, perfectly crispy and delicious. The gravy sauce it came with was a bit on the sweeter side than we’re used to. We tend to prefer an Asian-style gravy when it comes to duck. My wife had the puttanesca, which she really enjoyed. I gave it a try, but it wasn’t quite my thing. I usually like my pasta with some kind of protein. For dessert, they surprised her with a complimentary tiramisu birthday treat which was a nice touch. We also ordered a single cup of cappuccino to share just enough to enjoy without staying up too late. Service throughout the night was outstanding, friendly, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of.

A true hidden gem here. Located in a strip mall just outside a neighborhood. Our server, Hannah, was awesome. Started dinner off with an incredible escargot. The perfect cook and combination of garlic and shallots in a butter sauce and some chopped up croutons. I went with the lamb chops, an excellent sear on them with that tender pink and juicy interior. The wife rolled with the fettuccine carbonara, house made pasta with Italian bacon, onions, garlic, cream and Parmesan cheese. An insane portion of pasta perfection on a plate. All their entrees come with a monster house made pistachio ravioli. We split a decadent tiramisu that was the perfect way to close out the evening. If you’re close to this place go check it out. âœŒïžđŸ˜Ž

Excellent service, complimentary wine, beautiful atmosphere. I didn't try all the food, but of the menu I had: The quail, which was absolutely delicious! Wonderful escargot, which came fresh and hot. Crab cake, very flavorful without being overpowering. A complementary ravioli, a little on the sweet side, not my thing personally, though beautifully presented. A slice of key lime cheesecake, that was incredibly creamy. The waitress (Tova!) was very quick to help us, and answer all questions. This restaurant also features a mosaic wall, and numerous art pieces. The music playing is tasteful, and not too loud. Truly a spectacle on all fronts, good job!

Our dining experience at Dwight's Bistro, owned and curated by the talented Dwight and managed by Kevin, was nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. From the moment we stepped into the cozy and inviting ambiance, we knew we were in for an extraordinary treat. As the evening unfolded, it became apparent that the culinary wonders prepared by the chef and the impeccable service from our server, Gary, would make this a dining experience we'd never forget.

We started our gastronomic journey with the exquisite crab cakes. These delectable morsels were a harmonious blend of succulent crab meat and delicate spices, expertly seared to perfection. Each bite was a revelation of flavors, setting the stage for the delightful culinary symphony that awaited us.

The scallops that followed were a true testament to the chef's mastery. Cooked to a succulent golden brown, they melted in our mouths, leaving us enchanted by their natural sweetness. Paired with perfectly complementing accompaniments, this dish was an extraordinary celebration of fresh seafood.

Next on our adventure were the hand-made ravioli, and they were nothing short of culinary perfection. Each ravioli pocket was generously filled with a luscious blend of ingredients that tantalized our taste buds with every bite. The chef's exquisite sauce elevated the dish to new heights of indulgence, making it a standout dish of the evening.

The tuna, a delightful surprise on our culinary journey, was a true revelation of the kitchen's versatility. Cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned with finesse, the tuna showcased the chef's ability to handle a diverse range of flavors with equal expertise.

The handmade pasta fettuccine Alfredo with filet and mushroom was an experience to cherish. The pasta was flawlessly cooked, and the Alfredo sauce was a divine amalgamation of creaminess and savory goodness. The addition of tender filet and earthy mushrooms elevated the classic dish to a whole new level of culinary excellence.

For dessert, we savored the apple crisp, and it was the perfect conclusion to an exceptional meal. The crisp crumble topping, paired with tender, cinnamon-spiced apples, was a symphony of sweet and tangy notes that left us with smiles of contentment.

Throughout the evening, the warm hospitality from Dwight and Kevin Delude made us feel like treasured guests in their bistro. Their genuine passion for food and dedication to delivering an outstanding dining experience were evident in every aspect of our visit.

Gary, our server, was the true star of the evening. His attentiveness, knowledge, and friendly demeanor made us feel pampered throughout the meal. He effortlessly guided us through the menu, offering personalized recommendations that perfectly matched our preferences.

In conclusion, Dwight's Bistro is a culinary gem that should be on the top of every food lover's list. The impeccable dishes, warm hospitality from Dwight and Kevin, and Gary's top-notch service made this dining experience truly the best we've ever had. If you're seeking an unforgettable culinary journey that transports your taste buds to new heights, look no further than Dwight's Bistro. It is an establishment that promises cherished memories and an insatiable desire to return for more of their...

So glad to finally get to try Dwight's Bistro. It was delicious and now we see why so many people sing their praises. Also, great to know a local talented chef in Evan Geske has joined the team and is helping turn out delicious food there.

The awesome: *Crab Cakes! Probably the best I've ever had in my life. Also, the sea bass entree was divine. I haven't tried their pastas yet. The service was amazing too. Great family atmosphere, great wine selection and honorable mention for tasty pre-meal bread offerings.

Room for improvement: the escargot wasn't our style. It was swimming in butter with croutons which sucked up all that butter, yet there was still plenty for the escargot to drown in. We like it better at Espana in Fernandina or at Orsay. The ravioli that came with my sea bass was just okay, not as big of a pistachio fan. The atmosphere inside is quaint and homey, love that, but the ventilation isn't up to par to take all the grill smoke out of the restaurant and we found our eyes burning after only a short time. I took a lemoncello cheesecake home, and it wasn't something I would want again, felt like something purchased from a local bakery that may have hung out in a fridge for a while. And lastly, we realize not every restaurant can have a full liquor license, and the focus for this type of restaurant is a great wine selection (which they do have), but only a few bottled beers otherwise is really limiting, no local beers that I recall. Would love to see a few local beers on draft.

The food and the service will bring me back to try more on the menu, plus I love to eat when Evan is cooking. Highly recommend you...

There’s something special about Dwight’s Bistro. It’s the kind of place where the details speak for themselves—where you can feel that every dish, every decision, has been refined through years of experience and thoughtful intention.

I’ve lived in downtown Jax for the past decade or so, and for years my fiancĂ©e and I considered Buchner’s Bierhalle and Orsay our go-to spots. But since moving to the beach, we’ve been searching for a new favorite—somewhere consistent, with great food and wine, and genuine hospitality. Dwight’s might be that place.

We started with the crab cakes and a bottle of Cab Franc. The crab cakes were rich, delicate, and clearly made with quality ingredients—definitely lived up to the hype. My fiancĂ©e had the puttanesca—salty, briny, bold in all the right ways. I ordered the carbonara, which was perfectly balanced: creamy without being heavy, simple but clearly thoughtful. Both dishes were made with hand-made pasta.

Everything we ate and drank was excellent, but what stood out most was the feeling of the place. Dwight’s has that rare kind of charm—old-school, unfussy, no frills—but deeply intentional. You can tell this is a place where the chef, and the rest of the staff, have been doing things the right way for a long time. The space is cozy, the service is gracious, and the whole experience feels like you’ve stumbled into something truly unique. It’s a gem.

We’re already looking forward to coming back. This might be our new spot.

Highly...
