Anytime Billiards — Restaurant in Jacksonville

If we are being honest here, this run down mediocre place rates 0 stars. I attempted to celebrate my birthday here on a Wednesday night where there were 3 ladies working the bar. There was one cook and a manager ( I assumed perfectly staff). My friends and I had to wait over 15-20 mins per drink we ordered. The all you can eat wings come in groups of four and also took 15 mins to get the reorder. The bar ran out of crown royal and didn’t initiate a resolution. The staff then failed to inform my friends and I WHO aren’t locals that the pool rate was $3.75 per person per hour! so when my friends and weren’t getting the service at the bar we decided to move out the way and start a game of pool. The staff nor’ the manager didn’t think a second to let us know the details initially. The staff offered absolutely no hospitality and overall looked upset with our presence. Long story short - my boyfriend and I spent nearly $150 alone ( party of 10) we all drank a good amount and the manager still insisted that we pay the pool rate. I am extremely knowledgeable in business and how they need to be operated to be successful, however taking everything into consideration and the failure of the staff we should have been compensated. FYI I did look around the bar to see if the rate was posted anywhere. The one place it is, is behind ONE pool table. The pool table that it is located on is twds the cashier counter. Nice place with plenty of pool tables. People pick stupid music on the jukebox but that's not the businesses fault. The front desk people and waitress were very nice. The table (maybe I just picked a bad one), however had a couple of dead spots in some of the rail cushions which makes the ball bounce funny, but that happens with tables that get a lot of play. What WAS annoying was that a few of the pockets dropped balls on the ground, so say I make a corner shot the ball falls out and I have to chase it on the ground and look like an idiot lol. The prices per hour for table play are extremely fair. I've played tables that are $25 an hour before, so $3.75 is a steal when you need hard practice on a non quarter table so you can do quick practice exercises without spending 1,437 quarters. I think casual players that play for fun would like this place, but for competitive players that need a table to rent for practice/shot exercises this place is just...

I love going here on weekends only, and now I'm only letting Christy take care of us. She gets five stars. Another waitress with long dark hair and glasses does absolutely nothing when "taking care of us". I spend more time running up to the bar, being ignored by her, then just to have her cop an attitude with me when I go to the bar to get a drink. I've waitressed at many establishments and never have I seen a waitress flat out ignore her "customers" so she can sit and carry on conversations with groups of single guys. From now on I'm walking in, seeing if Christy is there and leaving if she isn't. If you want to sit there and wait for your waitress to find a husband before she gets your drinks, show up during the week.
