Less than Sub-Par, with prices that might have some unsuspecting people thinking it's Authentic and the quality with other close area pizza parlors and New York City Pizzerias, NOT! The Bottom Line... the crust is flavorless, the pizza sauce started to gave me bad heartburn almost immediately! Although, to be honest, My heartburn probably started immediately after paying almost $20 for a SMALL with three, non-premium toppings and NO Extras of the three toppings(like extra cheese, etc...) for TAKEOUT! My two biggest regrets in visiting this establishment,(which was the first time... btw)is... FIRST: Not going to Domino's next door for HALF the price, a little better tasting and more consistent quality. SECOND: I only brought a $20 bill, not expecting it to cost so much more than the quoted price. In which case, I couldn't leave my normal two or three dollar Tipp to the counter and wait staff. Cause you know, I'm a softy like that, taking care of the employees whom I'm sure are under paid and unnecessarily stressed from from the big mouth, falsely intimidating "people" that so called, run the place. NOW knowing by the severe lack of quality and Pricing practices of what the owner calls "FOOD" to the areas hard working people and countless other Armed Forces Personnel serving our Country, providing Jacksonville with a thriving business economy, I'm Pretty sure the Owner pays the staff just as bad as the low grade dog "food" he charges Filet Mignon Prices for! So, for all you who Owner/Operators and what you haven't done, don't do or should be doing for the above mentioned people, I say to you Owner/Proprietor... SHAME ON YOU, IN A BIG WAY! I Sincerely feel Bad for your Certainly TEMPORARY employees, UNSUSPECTING NEW CUSTOMERS, visitors, new residents and the countless other Armed Forces Personnel who have fallen VICTIM. Victims of misrepresented pricing, quoted when placing an order, to picking up the exorbitantly Over Priced TRASH we ordered a half hour earlier, only to be shocked with the extreme price differences and lowest quality possible for the money. They don't need a gun! One positive note about this "owner/operator" and other businesses like this... There Fine examples of how they could be making a Real and Tangible Difference in this World! By motivating people to better themselves by Way of Furthering their education or teaching others what they've learned, on how to Differ. Avoiding businesses, owners, people and places that operate like this by the examples that they've learned. In other words, a Quint Essential Example of HOW NOT TO BE! FYI: New York Pizzeria just responded... Three years later. Way to be on top of things. Just drives home my points even...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER PASTA!! (Read below) We call this place "Grumpy Lady Pizza" because the lady who is always there is always grumpy looking and in the couple of times that I have interacted with her, she is indeed grumpy. Normally this is our go to place, but that is quiclky changing. We went in tonight (Friday) around 6:30pm. It was a little busy (mostly for take-out) and we chose to eat in. We ordered an appetizer, a baked lasagna (with a side salad) and a pizza, plus 2 drinks. They gave us our drinks and we went to sit down. I could clearly see the "kitchen" from my seat. I watched them pull a piece of lasagna from somewhere (assuming a cooler) and stick it in a MICROWAVE! Then they plopped it in a foil tray, covered it in marinara and cheese, then into the pizza oven. (I saw ALL the pasta dishes go into the microwave!!) The pizza came out before the appetizer, and the salad, appetizer and baked lasagna came out all at the same time. My lasagna was still cold in the middle so I had to have them but it back in the oven. It was still bland and the best part of it was the marinara that was dumped on top. The pizza was mediocre at best. We are not impressed with the new management. Also, as we were finishing up eating, a lady walked in with her barely trained "pit bull terrier mix" that was "rescued" and had "her own issues" (her words, not mine). She claimed that this dog was in training to be a service dog, but behaved nothing like any service dog I've ever met. And the employees and owners acted like having a dog in the restaurant was no big deal. People allowing untrained dogs into eating establishments puts people who need service dogs in a bad...
Read moreWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The food is amaze-balls and we have been ordering there for quite a while and always tip the driver 5-10 dollars, when we live like 6 min away. However, they totally screwed up our order and then ASKED FOR THE PIZZA BACK and would drop off a new pizza about another hour later. By that time it will be 9 o clock at night, and my husband and I both get up at about 5 in the morning for work. I spoke with LINDA, who was yelling at me on the phone and interrupting me as I told her that this was really bad customer service and that I don't like to get free stuff from companies but I felt in this case we should get a free pizza in the future because of the inconvenience. (She only offered us not to charge us for extra cheese next time.) She was very hesitant to even give us the head manager/restaurant owners name for fear of "getting in trouble". (
