Choppers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Best friend flew in for the weekend from Tx thought we would go to the local watering hole down the street. Saturday night pulled up not too crowded decent size crowd & karaoke. Went to bar, bartender was nice dark hair dress and combat boots, ordered ourselves a shot and drink sat down at a picnic table. Started to look up a rock song to do karaoke to. Energy of the company shifted immediately. The women were staring us down began being very passive aggressive towards us with their men and the girls that were all in a party together. Couple of those guys made it a point to come to our picnic table slam their shots on our table and walk off. At this point we finished our drinks closed our “open” tab because we had all intentions of hanging out. While closing our tab a white older heavier lady w gray blonde wavy hair came to say hi to someone at the bar and shoulder checked my friend. I was here on 6/4 with several guest first bad experience was ordering a bucket and a coke from outside bar and was treated rude we were getting wings so I went inside and placed my order with Sha after a waiting awhile I went to get my order she was getting ready to bring them out I said it was OK I would take them I paid and went back outside Sha had came up to me and got in my face and started cursing and yelling at me it made several guest hear her and my family you were two tables away and I know you saw and heard her I said nothing to proverk her anymore you said nothing I have come here twice a week for your wings that are great but for the lack of respect and treatment I will not be back I have never been treated that way by other workers you have it is very sad that you allow this to happen and allow her to drink as she smelled like alcohol I do not drink so I know I was...

My daughter (21) was in Jacksonville for 1 day and her hotel would not let her check in or leave her luggage there so she was stuck for 5 hours trying to figure out where to go. I found Choppers Bar & Grill online, from Minnesota, and saw they had a patio and told her to go there for the afternoon. WHAT A STROKE OF LUCK!!! I cannot say enough about a place that sees a young girl walk into a bar, alone, with all her luggage and makes her feel SO welcome. She thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon, had great conversation, great food, and a couple cocktails with equally awesome people that treated her like she was their own kid.
