Title: A Disappointing Experience at Hooters Southside Boulevard
Introduction: In today's society, it is essential for businesses to provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for their patrons. Unfortunately, my recent encounter at Hooters Southside Boulevard left a bitter taste in my mouth, leading me to conclude that I will never attend this establishment again. The unprofessional behavior of Chelsea and Rosie, two employees of Hooters, during our company party has left a lasting negative impression on me and my colleagues
After enjoying a delightful evening at Terragata Brazilian Steakhouse, my party of 14 decided to continue our night by visiting Hooters Southside Boulevard. Our intention was to unwind, enjoy a few drinks, and watch a football game together. Little did we know that our experience would be marred by the unprofessional conduct of the staff.
Upon entering Hooters, we were immediately met with a sense of unwelcome. Chelsea and Rosie, two employees of Hooters, rudely interrupted our gathering, insisting on breathalyzing each member of our party. This intrusive and unnecessary action left us feeling harassed and unworthy of their service. It is important to note that we had only consumed one drink at Hooters, as the staff's incompetence prevented them from bringing any more drinks in a timely manner.
The refusal to serve us alcohol based on the assumption that we had consumed excessive amounts was not only insulting but also unfounded. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism and judgment from the staff at Hooters Southside Boulevard. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with respect and courtesy, not subjected to unwarranted breathalyzer tests and baseless accusations.
The actions of the managers at Hooters Southside Boulevard further exacerbated our disappointment. Instead of addressing our concerns and rectifying the situation, they blindly supported their employees' behavior, assuming that we had indeed consumed excessive amounts of alcohol. This lack of accountability and failure to acknowledge their staff's incompetence only served to reinforce our decision never to return to this establishment.
In conclusion, the experience my party and I had at Hooters Southside Boulevard was far from satisfactory. The unprofessional conduct of Chelsea and Rosie, coupled with the managers' refusal to address our concerns, has solidified our decision never to attend Hooters again. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of customer service...
Read moreI have been visiting here on and off for numerous years and it's evident that this particular location is in a dramatic decline.
Yesterday's first issue was that there was a musty, dingy, moldy stench that hit us as soon as we walked inside. It was also warm and humid in there and made us feel sticky too which quickly turned our noses up, but but we were hungry and decided to tough it out (our mistake).
Next, it took 5+ minutes before being acknowledged by someone after 4 or 5 employees walked by without saying anything. There was also a lady waiting to be helped (had been waiting for much longer). We ended up being sat in the bar area at a high-top where the music was overly loud and we constantly had to repeat ourselves to the waitress who also had to repeat everything more than once. We mentioned turning the music down, but the waitress just laughed as if she thought we were joking. We weren't - and it was never turned down.
A lot of food was "not available" so that was very disappointing. The food we did order (shrimp appetizer, chicken melts) was very mediocre, so much that none of us finished it despite being as hungry as we were. The sauces seemed very off too, as well as the over-all taste of the food.
In general, other than the few who were sitting at the actual bar who seemed to be having fun throwing things across the bar area (seriously throwing what looked like trash), the restaurant appeared to have a very "down" feel. The waitresses were not friendly and most had looks of being miserable. Our table even watched one waitress let a door close on a customer and didn't even apologize to him.
Also ended up killing a couple of fruit flies that landed on our table, so there's also that too.
Over-all, this was a bad experience for a place that, at one point, did not disappoint. Based on what we saw though, no excuses cut it. The restaurant was not busy by any means and they even sent at last 1 waitress home while we were there.
These issues are fixable, but they appear to stem from very poor management. Hopefully this restaurant can get it right again, but in the mean time I'd recommend staying away.
Update: Hooters reached out but did not offer anything to make up for the...
Read moreI had a very good dinner at this Hooters. Please see the details of why I rated this Hooters so high.. I normally don't give marks like this.
I visit Hooters because I love their wings. I usually go either once a week or once every two weeks to a Hooters. I live in Central Florida so I have 3 Hooter restaurants that I visit and I rotate them. I usually have a positive experience at any Hooters but this particular location on San Jose Blvd was one of the best I've had in years. I highly recommend this place.
Service: To start with my server was Izzy. She had a great positive vibe from the beginning. Warm and friendly. There were no issues with messing up my order in any way. She checked in on me at the right times and I could enjoy my food without being bothered, but she was around enough to quickly fix any issues if they had happened.
Food: I ordered the 10 wings, Naked, Hot, and Wet... They came soaked.. There was no misunderstanding about being wet. It was great. Now, here is were the restaurant quality really stands out. The cook that night (Thursday around 8pm) knows what they are doing. My wings came out super juicy. I could easily pull the bones from the wings. This is how I make them at home. To get that kind of quality at Hooters made this my go to Hooters when I'm in the area. This was stand out quality.
As to the vibe of the place itself.. It was mellow and relaxed. Just what someone who worked all day would want to feel. I'm an introvert and my seat was perfect and not in the middle of the floor. I felt very relaxed even when the restaurant became busy. Overall, the staff at this Hooters works for a living and it shows in their quality of service and food.
Highly recommended. I'll be visiting this Hooters when I'm...
