Hot Wok — Restaurant in Jacksonville

They are horrible. I tried to order a few weeks ago and they asked classified information regarding my credit card they hadn’t asked before so I refused to place my order. During the process of trying to order I told them make sure I get shrimp foo young this time because someone put pork in it instead previously and she admitted to purposely doing it saying they were out of shrimp. I was shocked and just decided to hang up since she refused to let me speak to the gentleman who normally takes my order or the manager. Hoping that I would get a different person today she answers. She starts off by saying that I refused to give her my credit card last time and I informed her she still wasn’t getting it because I would be paying with cash today. Instead of taking my order she goes on and on with what information she’ll be needing from my credit card which was funny since I repeatedly said I was paying cash why does she need my credit card information. When I demanded she let me speak to the manager or have someone else take my order she refused and kept trying to go into a spill about my credit card still and when I asked to speak to anyone but her she said it wasn’t possible yet I heard others speaking. She hung up and I called back she started about my credit card again which is still funny because once again I ask why is she concerned about it since I’m paying cash. I inform her I’m reporting them to the BBB the so called manager gets on the phone and says he won’t take business from me since I’m not paying with my credit card. I guess they must be hearing impaired and not know the difference between cash and credit card. Sorry you want be to use my credit card information to steal from me. I’m also glad I’m not allergic to pork since they thought it was ok to purposely serve it to me instead of shrimp as I had ordered. If you have miscellaneous charges on your account you know...

Let me tell you living in Florida for the last few years and been looking for a Chinese place similar to NY and this place was it for us. My wife and I went here after a debacle of a night and we were not disappointed. The food is very close to the way we like and we were not disappointed. We have since then ordered from here twice and tried different things each time. Place is a saved contact in my phone now. I have had a lot of Kung Pao Chicken in my life but this place is up there. Also the cheese wontons do not make it through the night as they are super crunchy...

After a long day of Dr’s appointment, going to visit St. Augustine and coming back to the hotel, we ordered here. The food was good, vegetables were delicious, shrimp egg rolls were very yummy. I wasn’t too crazy about the Egg drop soup, maybe because it wasn’t hot enough by the time we got to the hotel but we were hungry and ate it like that. Overall it was really good.
