Keke's Breakfast Cafe — Restaurant in Jacksonville

This was my first experience here. We came on a Sunday after church. We arrived at 11:45 and were told it would be a 20-25 min wait. We decided to wait and were seated around that time. After being sat we were immediately told the kitchen was behind atleast 45 mins. After some hesitation we decided to stay since we had looked at the menu while waiting and were able to order right when we were sat. Hoping that would cut down some of the wait time. We ordered at 12:15, at 45 mins I asked about the status of our food but nobody knew anything and they weren’t even allowed to ask per our waitress from their management. We didn’t get our food until 1:30pm. I thought everything would be hot and fresh since we’d waited so long but everyone’s eggs were cold, my onion rings were cold and somehow the potatoes were burnt. And the final part was the bill, they kindly offered an $8 dollar discount But we still paid almost $70 (included $10 tip) for four people. Everyone had water except my kid and everyone had one meal with nothing special. I came in for lunch for the first time at Kekes today. When i walked in I was greeted by Bri who was very sweet and helpful. I then was sat down at a booth and the General manager Marlo greeted me and told me about their mimosas , I ordered 1 and a sangria. THE BEST mimosa and sangria I’ve ever had. The mimosa was done at my table by my server and the sangria was so nicely presented when brought to my table. My server was Juju who was super nice, funny , and very helpful when it came to helping me decide what I wanted to eat. I told her I was wanting more so lunch and not breakfast so she suggested the Buffalo chicken wrap ,which i ended up ordering on flour tortilla with fries , It was absolutely delicious, great proportion , and fulfilling. I had half my plate of food left to take home with me. Overall 10/10 , all of the staff spoke when passing, service AMAZING , food AMAZING , drinks AMAZING , restaurant was VERY clean , The vibe and atmosphere is BEAUTIFUL. I will definitely be back!!!! My wife and I went in for breakfast on Sunday, 3/3/2024, with our 2 boys, 3 and 6 years old.

Sherry was our server. She had an attitude from the very start, presumably because she was overwhelmed with the weekend traffic. We requested a couple of cups of coffee and some waters for the kids. She brought our coffees, but they were full of coffee grains. She brought us a fresh cups of coffee and took our order.

45 minutes passed and our 6 year old was so hungry that he started crying. My wife proceeded to check on the status of our order to which Sherry replied “don’t take it out on me”. We found that a little strange as my wife was just trying to get our 6 year old some food.

Nevertheless, it was determined that Sherry had forgotten to turn our ticket in to the kitchen.
