KT`S Pizza — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Today is Thursday April 25. Time: 8:30pm. Getting straight to the point. Pizza was good. Kinda overpriced. The reason I gave it a low score was for customer service. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza. I decided to eat the pizza in the store. In the crust if my pizza was a small metal butterfly. I don't know who it belonged to and it could've cause serious injury to my teeth if I bit down on it. Anyway, I showed it to the owner. Instead of apologizing or trying to offer me a coupon or free drink or pizza, Instead they went into defensive mode saying "It wasn't me" and showing me their hands showing their hands showing me that no one wear rings on it. That really irritated me because honestly I'm pretty laid back. So a free drink would have been fine with me. But the fact that they never apologized and kept saying it wasn't them was very unprofessional and frankly embarrassing. I'm a 38 year old straight man. I have no need for anything butterfly related item in my possession. Clearly a female worker from that place accidentally dropped it in the flour/doe. Anyway, I will not be coming back because of their behavior. So make sure you double check your pizzas before taking a bite. I could've easily chipped a tooth if I bit hard on that little butterfly. I used to love KTs pizza and ate there the past 9 years but it has truly went downhill recently based on our experience today. While we were trying to place a delivery order of several items we were told that they were out of beef in the meat lovers calzone and we asked if they could add extra of an ingredient that’s already in it to make up for what they are missing.They told us they do not do substitution and we had to pay extra for the ingredient that they are out of. Which we find completely ridiculous never in my life have I heard a business not able to sub out something they are missing. I did ask just out of curiosity are you charging me less since y’all do no substitutions and since you’re lacking an ingredient they said no. So we would have to pay full price plus an additional fee to get a meat that they were missing in a product they were selling. No, thank you! I’ll take my business now and in the future else where....

KT’s is my go to for Pizza and Calzones. I consider myself a pizza snob. I won’t eat just any pizza. That being said, I prefer NY style. This place is highly underrated. This a mom and pop shop! The owner works so hard! She is super kind and friendly. As for the pizza, I haven’t found a crust that I like better. The toppings are generous and the sauce is rich and delicious. The pizza isn’t cheap though! Anyone that knows me knows that I am very frugal! So it’s got to be good if I’m spending my money on it. The place isn’t fancy, but it is clean. Oddly enough, my favorite item on the menu is their homemade garlic butter! I have not been able to replicate it! I always order extra and use it all week. KT’s has continued to operate since I moved to the Northside 3 years ago. It was the first place I tried of the string of restaurants on Yellowbluff near New Berlin.
