Soup: For those familiar with the restaurants of Fuji yama and Kan Ki, then you're familiar with the serving of clear soup, yes? Now, while there are other soups in these restaurants, mom and I normally order the clear soup.
So imagine my surprise when we get a clear soup, but it's not. Now, by the sound of this, you would think, I'm upset, when in truth, I was more curious, Than disappointed.
See, their clear soup comes with shavings or shreds of what mom thought was dumplings. Anyway, thing is, the soup was very delicious, and a very pleasant surprise.
Food. Mom got the chicken and rice, with crab ragumes and shrimp sauce. The presentation was adorable.
While I -being a steak lover, order the steak and rice. No vegetables. The meals were excellent. And to top it all off, I got another pleasant surprise.
Now, I'm not one to try new things, at least not often, so imagine my surprise when I get the ginger steak sauce.. Say what?! The result was this... It was so darn delicious!!
See, it has been years since I had any ginger at a Japanese restaurant. The last restaurant to have it was Fuji yama, but they took it off 🙀.
So to find out that this restaurant has the ginger that I remember from that time, if not the time of Kan Ki, was very pleasing and a sweet treat.
All in all, their food was delicious. The service was good. The outfits were beautiful. The restaurant was just perfect.
I don't know about mom, but I sure as heck enjoyed myself.
So, if you're ever in the neighborhood, do stop on by and try them out. You'll be glad you did.
I hope.
Thanks for reading later. Ps. Mom's chicken was yummy, especially...
Read moreI ordered Hibachi chicken w salad...The ginger was different color as other place I had the same food... The portion of the food enough I got full but I don't preffer to return due...chicken litteraly was cold ,so as rise .vegetable was great ...server was little slow with refill even the place had few customers in...I didn't like also that we got the food but the dressing wasn't served at the same time and the already like warm food just even got colder by the time I received dressing .It was delayed because the server was pick up order for new customer so I was on wait..I don't have a problem to pay few dollars more for same or similar food as other places as long the quality of the food and service right. The food was tasty but deffenetly has to be warm or hot like other place where they actually so fresh it does steam. The soup wasn't bad but much tasteless than other place at River city..I tried this place and I think they could of be way more successful if they would really put some customer service in..The food they offer should of be proudly served ..I don't think due the lock of the issues I will return..I ate my food because I paid and overall wasn't bad but could have been way better as I said with proper server as refill etc I mentioned above.Employees look nice smiley but it's all teamwork kitchen and serves has to work together to...
Read moreA peaceful dining environment, with soft background music, clean, well spaced tables, a sushi bar and plenty of parking. We had an early dinner and my husband and I were immediately seated. We were provided with menus which was filled with delicious sushi, sashimi, nigiri, rolls, hibachi and teriyaki options, bento boxes and so much more. They offer lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the shrimp hibachi and my husband cleaned his plate of chicken hibachi. Our meal included a salad and soup. He had ranch dressing but I indulged in the best ginger dressing on my salad. I could have drank the stuff, it was that good. The clear soup was delicate, warm and delightful. Our entree came with hibachi vegetables, fried rice and noodles. The portions were more than adequate and filled us up. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we thoroughly enjoyed. The wait staff were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. This, I believe is my new favorite Japanese restaurant! We will definitely return to try the sushi next time. Word will spread quickly about...
