Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Moe’s….your entire company should be ashamed of yourselves. This review is specifically for the Atlantic Blvd. location near Girvin in Jacksonville, FL.

I just spent a little under $17 for a chicken quesadilla (just white meat chicken and cheese only) along with the smallest sized side of queso. No drink. I was in complete disbelief when I saw how small of a serving of chicken that was put on the quesadilla. I have been a chef for over 20 years, and it was barely 3 ounces of meat. I was charged $0.99 extra for this type of meat, and I was served hardly any. In the picture I posted, there is such a little amount of chicken in there that I could fold back half of the entire quesadilla to show it is mostly cheese. As for the side of queso: $2.59 and they couldn’t even fill it up to the proper level. I have these exact portion cups at home, I am not even exaggerating.

My wife and I have been coming to Moe’s since 2005, and never before have I been this shocked at the cost and the severely low portions.

As for the service: the guy making the food will barely talk loud enough to hear him, and his portioning was poor. If management makes them serve such tiny portions, then it is just comical. I am not sure if they serve less as a front line decision because they are lazy and do not want to prep more.

Again, as a chef, I KNOW portion sizes and value for your money. Moe’s is robbing you blind if you choose to keep accepting these outrageous prices. I can go to a sit down restaurant for nearly the same price now with the only difference being the tip factor. And by the way, I ALWAYS tip the workers at Moe’s, but the company has now swallowed up that extra money. I would have given zero stars if it were possible. Pathetic. Where is the management at...

I normally don’t have an issue with this location however, today there was an issue and the manager on duty didn’t really seem to care much. Prior to placing my online order I called to ask if they wouldn’t build the nachos as we wouldn’t eat them right away, didn’t want to risk them getting soggy. I do this often and never had an issue. I order, get home, sat the bag on the counter since we weren’t going to eat them right away, I took a nap woke up expecting to devour my delicious nachos and BOOM.... built! Not only was it built, I specifically ordered mine with black beans, and I know all beans matter but I wanted the black ones, NOT pinto. I called and asked for the manager but she honestly didn’t really seem to care, long day for her could be but these places have to learn better customer service! I just dropped 40 bucks on this place. I’d prefer they just paid more attention and when they drop the ball...

This review is for the Atlantic location (Queens Harbor). No poblano sauce on the side, no salsa for my chips and the salad I ordered, it's criminal what I paid versus what I received. I will admit that I ordered a little late, but it seems like the bottom of everything was scraped. This is not the first time that all of my sauces were not placed with my order.

The young men who work here seem to be left to their own demise need ADULT supervision. A lot of playing, talking and ignoring customers when they come in. There was also a young man (customer) in there with NO shoes on and walking around and that was super gross. I'm not sure who the management is at this location, because whenever I go, there doesn't seem to be a manager there. This location really needs a boost in every area.
