I recently started dining here. They are Monday-through-Friday Lunch-only. At first, the food was pretty good. And I tried all the meats over about a month and a half's time. But quickly, the quality went down in terms of the food cook quality. The ribs are tough. The brisket is terrible. Very thinly sliced and zero juiciness. The baked beans taste like you're simply dipping a spoon into brown sugar.
The wait staff are good as gold. You serve yourself with a drink station for refills. The ladies check to make sure you're OK. But there isn't much they need to do after dropping off your plates and sides.
Then, one day (not quite a week ago), the food took thirty minutes to arrive. Normally, the wait is around five minutes. That day, I got the ribs, baked beans, fries, and a Coke. I think Diet Coke or Coke Zero was connected to the original flavor Coke spout. Tough ribs, brown sugar beans, cold fries, and wrong Coke; I had enough. I won't...

It was my first time to the restaurant but it looked clean. I told the girl at the counter it was my first time and she handed me a free banana pudding 😋. She told me that they were in the lunch rush and short staffed and that food would take a while. I tried the meatloaf special. It was good and so were the sides. It cost $18 for the special, a drink (fountain drinks you fill yourself, which is fine with me) and a 3 dollar tip. Bathroom was also clean but out of paper towels. Spent approximately 1hr at restaurant so not a good option for a fast lunch or order a head. Lots of meal options that looked...
Read moreUnfortunately all the hype was unfounded. Came in with my co-worker around 130 on 2-11. We each ordered the Brisket platter and BOTH of our briskets were not even warm. 17$ for 4, thin, cold strips of brisket, 2 sides and a drink is ludicrous. The coleslaw was the best item I had.
My co-worker had bad stomach problems throughout the remainder of our work shift. When you're working 4 hours from home, this is the worst possible thing to happen.
The cooks in the back can he heard using profane language all throughout our dine-in experience. The ladies in the lobby doing their side work were the nicest people I've ever met. Asking if it's okay if she mops while we eat, her soft soul kept the review from...
