We came back! Had to give it another try because what better place to go when the wife is out and the kids need something to keep them entertained after baseball.
Overall the experience was much better. Burger was good, chicken tenders were great, house made chips were đ đ¤ chefs kiss. Fries still leaved something to be desired, but for what it was, it was good!
Game room had a huge upgrade. Kept the kids busy and upgraded from coins to cards which seems to work better. I think what could be useful is a camera in the game room with a TV showing whatâs going on. Good way to sit at your table and still keep an eye on the kids.
Needless to say, much better experience and glad the new owners are figuring it out! Good luck and weâll be back!
Cheers!

Listen, Players is an institution in Miramar. Itâs where we want to go after a ball game for an easy dinner, or just a Thursday night to have some beers. Unfortunately itâs not what it used to be. Which was average food for an average price.
Now one thing you must understand is the background of the physical location. Itâs owned by someone who is known for charging outrageous rent for sub par facilities. Thatâs where the prices factor in. For the quality of food the prices are outrageous. Itâs frozen Sysco food deep fried. Thats it, donât expect much else.
The menu is like 4 pages, which is way too much for a sports bar. Give me wings , 6 apps and 10 entrees that are perfected and high quality as opposed to 75 items on the menu that are sub par.
Next, the atmosphere. The tvs are regularly on crap shows. Bring someone in that knows what should be on the TVs. If itâs a Saturday in the fall I want 6 different games on 12 TVs. Not 2 games on 3 and some random old event on another. Also, the âback roomâ for the âgamesâ is trash. Itâs musty, half the games donât work properly and itâs just not somewhere you want to spend any time.
We love our neighborhood and we love our neighborhood bar and grille. We try to support them when we can but when the food has no artistry to it and the employees donât really seem like they care. What can you really expect?
To be fair, the service was good. And I feel like the servers are trying their best with the cards they are dealt. I want to keep trying, but dang if...
Read moreThe service was terrible... My wife, some friends and I (4 people) went there last night NFL draft night May 8, 2014 we wanted to watch the NFL draft as we ate. We arrived there at 8 pm sign said "please seat yourself" so we sat ourselves on a table which had a small tv in the booth. The table was full of dirty plates and glasses like someone just left there because we saw the bill sign for the server. We waited 10 minutes as the servers just walked by and never acknowledge us or even offer to clean up the table. Then my wife flagged down the server to have her clean the table which the server did and said "I will be right back to wipe the table" keep in mind the server NEVER even took our drinks order down either. The server never came back after another 10 minutes... so then I decided to speak with the manager on duty and one of the servers said he is in the kitchen helping cook! That took another 10 minutes to speak with the manager. Finally I spoke to the manger and he told me the server as only been there 3 days and he had only 4 servers in the entire bar. ON A NFL DRAFT DAY it may as well been a NFL Sunday afternoon. My experience....The manager needs to manage and take care of the guest in the bar. Servers need to clean up the tables as soon as the customer leaves so that a new customer or customers can be seated in a clean table. When the new customers are seated at the table within 2 to 5 minutes servers suppose to greet the customers at the table and take their drink orders. Well none of this happened last night. My wife and friends sat at the table with no one taking their drink orders for 35 minutes total and if that's bad then will the ticket time for our food will be just the same... so we left !! as we were leaving the server said " She thought we were the original customers" REALLY?!?! You don't recognize new customers at the table. So will I ever come back probably not so will I tell my friends about this BAD experience most likely will. My wife and I are very good in tipping servers usually 20 % to 25 % for good service. This is very...
Read moreNew owners and everything has changed for the worse. Player's Grille was always a great place to eat and hang out. They had a little arcade that my kids loved. Food and service was always on point. NOT ANYMORE!!! New owners removed the arcade and changed the entire menu. We were a party of five with two separate checks. I ordered my son the kids cheeseburger with the macaroni and cheese and Shirley Temple to drink. Kids menu says nothing about charging extra for cheese and I didn't find out until I paid the bill. Kids meal ended up costing $9! My son said the mac and cheese didn't taste good(he loves mac and cheese) and the burger was so tiny on a huge bun so I had to throw out most of the sandwich. I ordered the "large" onion ring and got 7 onion rings for $6.99. So sad. It was time to pay the bill and our server comes over with a machine for me to pay on. Never once was it mentioned or posted anywhere about a 3% surcharge for using a credit card. I would have paid cash to avoid the fee. Very disappointed in my experience. I was expecting the owners or even a manager to walk around to check on us, but they didn't so here we are. I do NOT recommend supporting a local business that...
