Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Our waiter was super nice, but the salad bar security was a bit much. We were told to help ourselves to the salad bar by our waiter after ordering. We walked to the bar, and there were no serving tongs. I waited a couple of minutes, hoping someone was just bringing new ones out. Instead, a very rude employee came out and told me that the salad bar was closed and it'd be 10 to 15 minutes before it'd be open again. It wasn't what she said, but how she said it to me. She didn't apologize or show any kindness. It was very abrasive and rude. I shook it off as she was just having a bad day, so I returned to my table. Our waiter came by and asked if we were OK, and we told him we were just waiting for the salad bar to be reopened, no big deal. We watched that same lady return to the bar and appeared to be placing tongs, etc. on the bar. As she neared the end of the bar, my husband walked up there and figured he'd go ahead and start making his salad. She was even ruder to him, telling him the bar wasn't yet open. He's looking at the freshly cleaned bar, with tongs and refilled bowls of veggies clearly confused. So he put the plate down and came back to the table. Mere seconds later, our waiter returned to tell us we could go to the salad bar finally, and we said, "Nope, she just told us it's still closed." The lady was still at the bar, so it was safe to assume she wasn't done. The waiter walked back to the kitchen, looking as confused as we were, then the salad bar lady returned to the kitchen, and we heard her screaming expletives and then she asked for the back door to be unlocked. We could see into the servers area from our table so we could see and hear this all go down. Our waiter returned several minutes later, and we told him we'd like to no longer get a salad. We felt completely uncomfortable and unwelcome. That lady was clearly triggered by us for some reason, and we can't understand why. We had just gotten off a flight and were exhausted and hungry. The only reason we went to Ruby Tuesday was for the salad bar. It was just a super bizarre experience, and I promise we will never return to that...

I always come to Ruby Tuesday but tonight was terrible. What was supposed to be a lovely family night turned out to be a bummer due to poor custom service and possible racial profiling .. Starting with our server he seemed to be a little off tonight took almost 15 minutes to bring the drinks to our table once he finally arrived he said he forgot where we were sitting i’m not sure how he forgot the location of our seats when there was literally only about 5-6 other people there tonight. Gave us drinks and no straws waited a good 30 mins for him to give us two straws and say he would come back with the third. He came back with the third straw and finally took our order our order was 3 American smash burgers but for some reason he put our tab in for 3 double smash burgers in which we was unaware until the check came upon receiving the check we notified him of the error he told us he would fix the situation but instead a heavy set caucasian woman came out with a mean spirit debating us down and even lied and said she was right there listening to him repeat our order which never happened he never even repeated the order back to us and we never seen her until that one time. She was acting highly frustrated with us over the server mistake and in a mean nasty time told us this is the last time she can ever do this for us… I have never experienced such pitiful service at Ruby Tuesday before but today was the day that made me say i will never attend this location again. Also we asked for to go boxes and waited about 20 mins for to go boxes brought the boxes and no bags and never came back for check had to pay at the bar. This was just the worst and i know the ladies response had to be racist related because I watched a beautiful older caucasian couple eat every bit of their food and then complain about the food being nasty right before our checks were handed to us and guess what they were apologized to and asked how could they make it right and the situation was corrected with no hassle. SMH...

I just. Left your establishment a while ago and I brought home two hamburgers and they were lousy and full of gristle. There was no spinach at the salad bar which we normally find when we go there. The waitress we had was a very nice lady, middle age, black lady very nice and super attentive.However, she was overloaded with work and that in itself was unsat.We observed her working herself literally to death. Please do something to get better quality.Hamburger after all we're paying a good dollar and we should be served good ground beef. I will be back at at a later date before the end of the year to see if the salad bar situation is straightened out. I will never ever order another hamburger from your establishment.That's totally unsat on your part and unacceptable. Again ,our server never complained , but we saw clearly that she was being overworked with was totally unfair. Your waitress should be given a five dollar raise because of her attitude and willing to work very hard as we could see with a person that she is. If I had known I was going to be served poor quality beef in my hamburger.I would have never ordered that again. I have dined at your establishment many times and spent thousands of dollars over the years. I hope as you read this.You have a good afternoon and evening because I am out of money for lousy food.Thank you very much. This location is on Airport Road in Jacksonville, Florida.
