Definitely won't be going back! Appetizer was fried mushrooms for $10.95, which litterally was 7 mushrooms, seven! For dinner, I ordered their version of a "black and blue salad". Basically, it was supposed to be a grilled steak sliced and served atop salad with tomatoes, bacon, and blue cheese crumbles. I ordered blue cheese dressing on the side instead of the vinaigrette it came with. They asked how I wanted my steak- medium rare. The picture is what i was served. Not only was it tiny, but, the "steak" was NOT a steak! It was COLD, leftover chunks of gristle and fat with a couple chunks of meat. Extremely Cheap stew meat browned and left to get cold. It also had zero blue cheese crumbles and the wrong dressing!! I asked for my blue cheese dressing and why the blue cheese crumbles were missing. They brought me the correct dressing and again, i asked where the blue cheese crumbles were. "Oh, we are out. We used the last to make the blue cheese dressing. I'll go get more dressing." Then, she runs off and comes back with another little thing of dressing and said "blue cheese dressing has blue cheese crumbles already in it" then walked off!!! Seriously!?!? Our waiter didn't care when I brought it up to him either. He just laughed and walked off. Then I finally took a bit of what I was left to eat as they were definitely not interested in making it right at all and.... cold, fatty, chewy, full of sinue meat! Absolutely awful!! I ate a few bites and pushed it to the side of the table. The waiter came back and asked if he could take the plates on the end and, once again, just laughed and walked away when I told him the meat was cold and it wasn't what I wanted without the blue cheese crumbles. I was meeting a friend whom I rarely get to see and we were trying to just visit and catch up when he just brings the checks. No offer of dessert or asking if we need or want anything else. We paid. My bill was over $30 for 7 mushrooms and the pitiful salad in the picture that, yes, this was taken before I even took a bite! Then, he took our water glasses while we were sitting there chatting making ZERO effort to get up to leave as we were immersed in conversation!! Basically, a "get out" move!! 20 minutes later, Allen, came over and asked us if we wanted water or anything while we waited since he noticed we had nothing. Allen was super nice and I wish he had been our waiter but, we will never know if he is better as I will definitely not be going back. I had to buy myself food on the way home!...

Dropped someone off at the airport and had some time to kill so I thought I'd check this place out and grab a beer. I walked in and it's really quiet so I thought maybe they were just opening or something but no, there were quite a few people at the bar. Plus it was like 2:30 on a Wednesday.

I used the restroom and headed to the bar, there's no music or anything and no one is talking so it's kind of weird but I thought whatever and sit down. The bartender is doing dishes and then another worker comes up to talk to him, I don't think he saw me so I'm waiting patiently trying to catch his eye but he doesn't look around. Then he has to run something to a table and is gone awhile. I'm guessing he's the only one on right now so I wait. Finally he comes back and checks his other patrons and now it's my turn! I'm ready, I want the easiest thing, he asks if I want food and I say no, just a Coors banquet on draft. I hadn't seen that since I was in Colorado so I thought I'd have one. And while I sipped on that I would ask for their beer list since they are a microbrew.

He starts to pour it but they get a phone call, he answers it and then hangs up, says there is something wrong with the keg and he has to check it. I tell him I'll just have something else and he says no no, it'll be quick.

He goes to the door where they brew the beer and us talking to someone back there about the phone call and I thought he may have been asking them about that keg. They go back and forth and he's complaining about something. Then he comes back behind the bar and says he has to go check that keg, it's full but something is wrong and I say "I'll just have something else man." He says "no just 2 seconds"

At this point it has already been around 15 min of waiting but I guess he thought I hadn't waited patiently enough. He was insistent on me having that beer when I just wanted to sip on something while I looked at their brews. I said OK to him but stood up and left.

I'm not saying this will be your experience but the bartender was not considering what I was saying to him. Just listen to your...

I hope this place stays good and gets better. It's really what we were missing moving here from the Midwest. Biggest complaint would be the early 2000s blasting outside while we're trying to enjoy our meal, my personal opinion, just not in the mood for the backstreet boys at 4pm on a wed. Then hearing country in the dining room felt like a bit of vibe whiplash. My suggestion would be to pick a neutral genre, one that reflects the guests you hope to attract, and play it everywhere at a lower volume. Minneapolis restaurants would play hip instrumental stuff for example. The drinks were so good though! I could tell the bartender was experienced! Didn't try much of the beer. They offer other taps if you don't like their house. Food was very good, hoping they strive for a standard rather than fall by the wayside with too many options like BJs. Maybe slim down the specials for now since stuff like my burger can get undercooked (and it was, despite ordering it well done) it can overwhelm/distract new kitchen staff. The burger was so dang good though I didn't care about the cooked level although I will mention it if it happens again. Server Alexis was charming and honest! She did her best with a new menu and lots of questions coming from us. She was a bit busy though, despite a bunch of staff talking at the bar inside. I did not get a refill on water and we waited for our check for a while. Overall really grateful for somewhere that feels clean, and somewhere we can eat outside. This is pretty much unheard of in the river city area. Thank you for having us, and for opening in general, we will be back again!

Edit: We visited again already. Music was much better, and the food was amazing. We had the ceasar salad and the flounder sandwich. Yum! Allison was a wonderful server! Thanks for having us again. I think this is...

Hidden Gem - By some miracle, we saw this place and decided to give it a try. First Lorenzo (host and waiter) welcomed us with lots of enthusiasm which was a great start. Once sat he came over and introduced himself and welcomed us. One of the best and most enthusiastic waiters we met in a long time, which was awesome! My wife ordered one of the hamburgers with onion rings (instead of fries) which see enjoyed a great deal, while listening to another diner behind us bragging about how good his hamburger was. I decided on the catfish plater with fries and slaw. This has to be the largest catfish fillet I've ever seen with a nice crisp breading and a nice mild hint of spice. I don't believe great fish needs tarter, but this stuff was homemade like everything else and just help put everything over the top. The slaw was fresh (a little light on the salt, but you can always add more to your personal taste which is a good thing) and the fries had a unique cut to them and were also very tasting. We will be back with family and friends. Did I forget to mention a wide selection of local and inhouse brewed beer! One was a collab from a local home brew club called CASK. I took a picture of the in-house beers brewed onsite and called my oldest son offering to take him there for a few brews to try. The only bad part, is that I'm still kicking myself that we didn't find this hidden gem much sooner! Keep up the great work, and Yelp, for the love of god, start recommending this place as a lot of people are missing out on some amazing food and well above average service! Thank you.
