Do NOT eat here for breakfast! Explore other options at JIA. My husband and I chose to eat here because there were plenty of open seats and we did not have a whole lot of time before our flight left.
It is a seat yourself type of restaurant and as soon as we sat down, we realized that there was no need for a waitress.
They are still using the QR code as a menu so not only do you seat yourself but you also input your own order own food. For breakfast, the menu is very limited and only one option (only about 20-30 character spaces in the text box) to personalize the meal to your preferences. I asked for egg whites only and wanted extra crispy bacon. I never had the option to choose. What type of bread that I wanted, either.
The waitress never came to the table for anything before we ordered our food other than for our drink order. After bringing our food to the table she inform me that they did not have egg whites. They used egg-beater (boxed type) eggs. I didn’t order any bread yet they brought me un-buttered toast, and filled the plate with enough potatoe pieces that they consumed nearly 1/2 the place. The bacon I received was NOWHERE near extra crispy….. it was NOTHING but fat!
The waitress never returned to the table see how our meals were nor to bring us our receipt. That is when we realized that you could scan a different QR code to make your payment. However, that option was not working at the time we were there. We had to track down the waitress in order to pay the bill before we could even leave to catch our flight.
THIS lack of customer service and human interaction is NOT pleasant nor does it make for a positive experience in the food industry! Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day…. Today ours was lacking BIG TIME!
I’d recommend trying one of the retail stores in the airport for a pre-packaged honey bun before I’d recommend this...
Read moreSooooooooooooo ..... Seat yourself, half empty restaurant .... Head to a table .... It's dirty .... Scan the code on the table ... Start to order food .... Waiter scurries up ... "Would you like something to drink?' uhm .... I was ordering using the app ... "The app's not on right now .... You have to order alcoholic drinks near me" ... Any guess why at an airport? I order a vodka soda lime .... "What kind of vodka?" .... I'll have the house. "We haven't had the house vodka here for weeks .... We have Tito's kettle and grey goose they're all the same price." .... Tito's .... I have ordered the fried shrimp appetizer and the coleslaw .... The drink comes .... it's tiny as expected .... The food arrives ... Who knows which day of the week does coleslaw was made .... You know how when you first make coleslaw and has a bite to it from the cabbage? This was like a senior citizen with their dentures out .... Limb flavorless ... Okay, nasty .... Then I try the shrimp .... They look good on the outside .... But the oils too hot .... So what I've been served as shrimp that on the inside are coated with 2 millimeters of uncooked batter slime and then a nice crispy crunchy cooked outside .... Again .... NASTY ..... "Waiter comes up and says how is everything?" ... I told him the coleslaw is an edible and the shrimp are fried but undercooked all at the same time .... His response? "Do you want to throw it away?" ... I say no I'll just take the check please. (Eating no more ... ) ... "Okay just scan the code on the table and you can pay there" .... And walks away. So the price of the shrimp are $15.99 .... Guess what the teeny tiny vodka soda lime cost? $13.99 ..... Amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing customer service. I'm joking. My recommendation? Avoid this cesspool at all costs ..... You've been...

My family and I sat down starving. We were just settling in and the waiter told us the QR code was located on the table.
We scanned it and were deciding before the waiter quickly came back and asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked that we get a round of water and told him I needed another minute to look. In that same moment he was at the table he used an hand gesture implying wrap it up and order.. while he said “you guys actually need to order something”…
I said, “what?” Because obviously we are ordering something, that’s why we came to a restaurant.
He said “you guys actually need to order something, you can’t just sit here.”
I was just baffled, how rude! My child and my husband, so hungry and of course we are going to order something. How unwelcoming and honestly why would I want to contribute to paying this person’s bills when he hasn’t even done the simple action of dropping off waters for us? Where is the hospitality? The warmth?
I told my husband we aren’t eating here and we stood up and received no further exchange from the waiter as we left.
We took our business next door to Angie’s Subs where I was pleased to be treated respectfully with a “yes ma’am” and many thanks for choosing them.
I did go back and share my thoughts with the waiter. Not really any remorse, just said “some people come here just to watch the game” & “okay”. 👎🏼 this guy was not my...
