Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Honestly, it doesn't matter what time of day or what day of the week or what food is ordered at your visit, it's ALWAYS cold, wrong, loooooong wait time (even for a single drink order it was 17 minute wait time & there were only 2 other cars there at 1:30 on a Wednesday!). And then the little girl that worked brought it out said, "What? No tip?" That was the last straw, honestly. I moved here 6 months ago & was warned not to go to this Sonic because it's known as "the ghetto sonic" but I prefer to make up my own mind, having lived in plenty of ghettos & found the service to be perfectly fine near my ghetto homes. After 6 visits, 1 a month, I can confirm that this might be the worst Sonic I've ever been to in the county ... and that's saying something since I do actually travel the country & have tried Sonic wherever I've run into them because they usually make the best flavored ice teas. My only advice is to STAY AWAY...

I ordered from the app. Once we got to Sonic, the parking lot was pretty empty. I checked in on the app and we waited a little bit. After about 10 minutes, we hit the button to speak with someone.

We were told that our order had been canceled on their side. I checked my bank account and we were charged. The young man took our order again. Then when the screen popped up to pay, we said um no. We were already charged on the app for this order.

Someone finally came out.. they had two receipts. One from the app and one from the stall.

We said that the 1st order is the correct order and we were told it was canceled. They said the app order was never canceled😑 So we wasted a good half hour just waiting for our correct order to be made.

My husband never wants to go here ever again.

I can understand if it was busy but it wasn't. I'm not sure where the confusion was but please speak to...

I must say I was a bit disappointed unusually so. My diet limeade turned out to be some kind of a red drink. Not sure what it was. So I ended up having to pitch it out because I didn't know if it was diet. The onion rings have an unusually large amount of oil in the bottom of the onion ring bag all the way to the paper bag. And the ice cream sundae was already melting by the time it got to the car. I still gave them three stars because like I said this is an unusual thing and everybody has a off day. Hopefully they'll do better next time

Well this is next time and they gave my order to the gentleman in the car next to mine. He had it in his car. He had touched it. It had been in there for a while. He had my drink and then the guy (Sonic employee) realized he'd given it to the wrong car so he took it from that car and brought it to my car..... And I just said never mind and...
