As always we love visiting the memorial. My daughter especially loves seeing the fountain and I love to walk. Perfect for bike riders too. My kiddo prefers her scooter. Either way it's super fun and you can walk as little or as much as you like as the trail goes a long way. Great way to get some excersize in and enjoy nature at the same time. Plus it helps that you truly feel like you are on an adventure. Oh and not to mention you can throw in a history lesson that will have everyone interested. I find this to be a good place to clear my mind and revitalize....
Read moreThey have remodeled and added new features to this memorial and I cannot stress enough how beautiful it is to see in person. I work on camp Johnson at the exchange and I sit at the memorial on my lunch break sometimes. If you've never been, you're missing out!!! . . Side Note: There are a few benches scattered and setting around the fountain but it's mostly cement walkways. If you are traveling with disabled, handicapped, or individuals who have mobility issues of any sort, you might want to pack accordingly. Bring your walkers, wheelchairs, ect. YOU'RE WELCOME...
Read moreMy family and I went here for a picnic with a small dog. We enjoyed ourselves as we walked around. There are alot of very cool and touching fixtures to this memorial. There were a couple people just jogging which made it feel like a welcome space to come and enjoy. Each sculpture, fixture and fountain had a story to go with it about the sacrifice of those in the Vietnam War.
