TikiJava Jax — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I stopped by the cutest coffee spot today while our dog was getting groomed, and I'm so glad we did! It's called Tiki Java, and it's this super fun tiki-themed Cuban coffee shop that totally nails the vibe. Picture vines hanging from the ceiling, a cozy faux fireplace, and even a little living room setup along with regular tables and chairs. Above the fireplace, there's a neon sign that says, "Sip Happens!"--such a fun touch!

The lady working there was so warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I ordered a hazelnut latte, and my husband went for a matcha latte with agave. We also treated ourselves to some pastries--mine was coconut, his was guava--and let me tell you, they were so light, flaky, and delicious. The lattes were just perfect, too.

All in all, Tiki Java was such a great find. I'll definitely be recommending this place to friends, and I can't...

I do love their coffee, it's strong but tasteful and perfect sweetness. I cnt speak the same for the empanadas. The first time I had one it was delicious and fresh. The following second time I asked if they were freshly made the young lady said they had been made two days ago so I opted for a pastry , which was dry. The third time I went I asked for an empanada and I was told they had been made that morning but they must have been sitting out too long because the minute I bit into it the smell of the chicken was of rotting meat. Love this new hidden gem of a coffee shop! The atmosphere is really cute, unique and fun! Also, the service was superb(our barista really helped us when we had questions and also needed recommendations). The guava & cheese pastry was yummy, their empanadas were okay-ish. My partner and I both tried the bombom coffee, he had it hot and I had it iced! It was delicious both ways and we also got to pick our flavor for it too. Honestly, one of the best iced coffees I’ve had here in Jax! Will definitely be coming back and also highly recommend this place to others...
