Tunis at Myrtle — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THIS MORNING ABOUT 10:30 AM WHEN I STOPPED FOR MY MOM WHO LIVES IN THE AREA. THE YOUNG LADY ON THE WINDOW NAME WAS SHAY. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME EVERRRR STOPPING TO ANY TUNIS RESTAURANT. I HAVE AVOIDED THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE FOR WHATEVER REASON. SO THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE. MY FOOD WAS HOT AND FRESH. MADE TO ORDER. HOWEVER MY FRIES WAS VERY SOFT. NOT CRISPY AT ALL. EVERYTHING WAS SEASONED VERY WELL, BUT THE FRIES WAS SOFT AND SOGGY. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS DELICIOUS. I SINCERELY HOPE THIS RESTAURANT STAYS BECAUSE THIS LOCATION HAS BEEN SO MANY THINGS OVER ALL THE YEARS AND THEY LEAVE. I HOPE THAT PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD BE GOOD NEIGHBORS TO THIS BUSINESS, BE RESPECTFUL AND KIND. TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. I ALSO HOPE THAT THE OWNERS CONTINUE TO BE RESPECTFUL TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THIS AREA AND CONTINUE TO SERVE THE BEST QUALITY OF FOOD WITH DECENT PRICES PEOPLE CAN AFFORD. ALOT OF SENIORS IN THIS AREA. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE MEALS I GOT. I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE WINGS BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH. GIVE THE NEW OWNERS A CHANCE. STOP BY AND ASK FOR SHAY. SHE IS AWESOME AND WILL TAKE YOUR ORDER IN A PROFESSIONAL AND RESPECTFUL WAY....

Today was my first time visiting this new Tunis. The lady at the window was vibrant, and she was very pleasant. I ordered 1 lb of livers and the large Gyro Salad. First of all, it wasn't a pound of livers I buy livers often but they were freshly cooked and hot. They were prepared well. The biggest hang up I had was in regards to the salad. I kept thinking the salad is disproportioned. There was a lot of lettuce, it was fresh but only 4 slithers of tomato, and about 6 cucumber slices that should have been cut to make it look more appealing. The gyro meat wasn't salad cut it was sliced as if to be put on a sandwich. They didn't even provide a plastic knife! 1 small salad cup of dressing for a large salad and thick slices of red onion. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and I must say that the service was incredibly fast and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, with the chicken livers being a standout item on the menu. I also appreciated the unique special seasoning salt that they use. However, I do have one suggestion for improvement, which is to stop using Styrofoam containers. The staff, both inside and in the drive-thru, were exceptionally friendly and provided top-notch service. Overall, I would give this place a well-deserved 5 out of 5 stars.
