On May 6th at approximately 5:30p.m. I recently had an incredibly unpleasant experience at Whataburger that I feel compelled to share. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I approached the cash register counter to place my order, but was forced to wait for an unacceptable amount of time. After standing there for what felt like an eternity, I grew increasingly frustrated and ultimately left in disgust.
The reason for the wait was clear: most of the kitchen crew were occupied preparing food for the drive-thru orders and a lobby order that was placed before I arrived. While I understand that this can be a difficult and demanding job, it's no excuse for the unprofessional behavior that I witnessed.
Behind the scenes and near the drive-thru, several women were wearing headsets and carrying on in unladylike foul language and profanity. They were completely ignoring the customers forming behind me, complaining about work-related issues and difficult customers and orders. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism and customer service skills.
To make matters worse, a customer who had just received her order in the drive-thru came inside to complain about something not being right. Instead of addressing her concerns and rectifying the situation, the female staff were heard making derogatory comments with profanity about her and completely ignoring her attempts to flag someone down to fix her order.
The customer before me waiting on his order was also incredibly disgruntled about how long his wait time was, as he still hadn't received his order yet. I can only assume that this was due to the chaos and disorganization behind the scenes.
Overall, my experience at Whataburger was extremely disappointing. The unprofessional behavior of the female staff, the long wait times, and the general chaos and disorganization of the restaurant left a sour taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quality...
Read moreI was in your restaurant today and experienced amazing costumer service. The cashier Christian was waiting on a very difficult woman who was ahead of me. He was clearly a new employee. Possibly still in training. She was very rude to him. She kept changing her order. First she wanted a large drink and then a medium. She ordered her burgers with all the condiments on the side. She asked for cupholders and bags to put her drinks in. He repeated her order several times and she changed it each time. All the while never offering a please or thank you and clearly holding up the line. He kept his composure. When they finally got it ready to cah out she didn't even have enough money for what she ordered. I offered to pay the difference, she declined, and he had to change the order to accommodate her yet again. After, I placed my order for my family of 5 and he never appeared irritated or rattled from his previous experience. I was order 91 and the lady in front of me 92. Her's was to go, mine was dine in. When he brought my order to the counter on a tray the woman thought it was hers and began to touch it and tell him it needed to be bagged before he could even check her ticket number. My family and I were seated in a booth waiting. He bagged the order and gave it to her. Now she starts digging through the bag and realized there was an onion ring missing and began to complain again. As they begin to make onion rings she realizes the order she just demanded he bag wasn't even hers. This set off a series of confusion. The manager Jennifer stepped in and began to correct the issues and got everything right back on track never missing a beat. The lady continues to rant about the mistake she made as if it was their's. They continued to treat her with patience and kindness. Our meal took a little extra time but it was delicious. I just wanted to thank the staff for their amazing...
