Subway — Restaurant in Jaffrey

As many of you may know multiple subways in my area were shut down after failing food and health inspection. Multiple locations close their doors for good. Don't let this shy you away from other subways. This was my first time ordering from this Subway location. The online process was extremely simple, with clear and easy to follow options. Check out was secure. Upon arrival the subway front was large and upon entering I was pleasantly surprised at how large inside Subway was. This location is immaculately clean. I'm going to go so far as to say this subway is cleaner than any restaurant I've eaten at in the last 10 years. I was taking care of by a very lovely young man. The meat cheese and vegetables all looked very fresh along with the area to make our subs. The seating area is very large huge picture windows to look out. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing I highly recommend a sit in lunch here. What I was surprised about was when the employee explained to me when you order online You do not then need to come to Subway and stand in line to pick it up. There was a designated area where all online orders are placed your name is on your bag You then turn around and you pick out your own bag of chips and your own drink if you had chosen those sides to go with your sandwich. Ordering online I also learned that there is a special every day of the week. They are exceptional specials at $6.99 I purchased a 6-in sub with a bag of chips and a drink. Very disappointed. They will only accept exact change or a card for payment. If you choose to use cash they round up to the nearest dollar Andover charge. The cashier and sign explain they cannot give you change do to they coin shortage. I find this reasoning strange due to the fact the Dunkin Doughnuts next door accepts cash and will return the correct change. This is either lazy management or an attempt to increase profits. Wonderful - when it is open!!! We used to eat here weekly. Fantastic staff/ decent (Subway) food. Then we came twice, during normal hours, and it was closed. So we didn't return for a year. Decided to try it again tonight. Even called first - "yes, we are open till around 8. We won't close early." We arrived at 6:37 - lights were on but the doors were locked. No one came when we knocked on the glass.
