21B bar and grill — Restaurant in Jaffrey

We thought the food was good and the staff was very nice at fairly reasonable prices.

I think the downfall of 21B is the atmosphere and bravado. We stayed away for a while because they give the impression that this is supposed to be a fine dining restaurant where a reservation is required...and let's face it that's not the right place for the center of Jaffrey. In reality it's just a decent Italian-American grill. We went on a Friday night and the place was basically empty aside from some folks at the bar. To which our server was also tending.

Our table was rocking all over the place and we were a bit disappointed with the portion of the arancini appetizer (3 for I believe $11 or $12), but only because it was delicious and we wanted more.

Really I think 21B could be amazing and packed if it had an identity that matched the people of Jaffrey better and marketing that advertised it as a fun and delicious place not a stuffy, fancy restaurant experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining at 21 B, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made me feel right at home. Page working at the bar was absolutely amazing!

The food was absolutely delicious. Each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing a wonderful variety of options that cater to different tastes. Whether you’re in the mood for a savory entrée or a delightful dessert, 21 B has something to satisfy your cravings.

The drink selection was equally impressive. The cocktails were creative and beautifully crafted, perfectly complementing the meal. I especially enjoyed their signature drinks, which were both refreshing and unique.

The Winter Chicken dish is a thinly pounded chicken breast so dry it was inedible on a pile of green which was on a pile of orange puree. Unappetizing to boot. Partially eaten. When we shared our dislike we were debated and told by our waitress it was her favorite dish. Found out later this person is part owner. We were encouraged (a lot) to order something else and the chicken was removed from the table. At the end both items were on the bill, the half eaten chicken and its replacement! I can see the more expensive item being on the bill. Not both. When asked we were debated again! We simply paid and left. $164 dinner so it’s not as if the bill hinged on charging us for both.
