Dunkin' — Restaurant in Jamesburg

I used to come here on occasion but stopped as the service was horrendous. When I used to come (more than 1 year ago), it was always extremely long wait times (add on more time to whatever you think a long wait time is for a Dunkin Donuts and you might be close to what it really was). Basically, it was way longer than expected and should ever be. Interestingly enough, the employees were never really rude or anything. It honestly appeared to be a bunch of nice, decent individuals working there that had absolutely zero idea on how to run a coffee shop, at all. The employees were always nice and apologetic. It was almost paradoxical. I would have expected a place with such long wait times for the employees to be rude or something, but they never were.

Today (8/30/22), was a very different experience. I don't know if there was a change in ownership or management. Admittedly, I went to the drive-thru in the middle of day on a Tuesday, so it most likely wasn't a busy time. I ordered a coffee and a donut and pulled up to the window (no wait time). The guy at the window told me the total. I handed over the cash and he handed me the donut. I then reached for the coffee and a little bit of it spilled out of the lid. He must have noticed a look on my face and asked if it spilled. I told him yes and he said, let me change that for you. He tried a different lid and it didn't work and said it must be the cup, so he changed the cup. Throughout this brief exchange, he was apologetic and pleasant the entire time.

In my opinion, your average coffee shop/Dunkin most likely wouldn't have noticed, cared or bothered and moved on with their day to the next customer.

This interaction may seem to be somewhat trivial (and the issue with the cup/lid is really a small matter) to most and maybe even the employee but I believe that this is the kind of service that makes a place stick out in somebody's mind. Just as bad experiences will keep customers away, positive experiences like this will bring customers back and I can only hope that this kind of positive feedback will reach the employee so that they know their efforts and customer service does not go unnoticed.

From the food perspective, the coffee and donut were what you would expect from a coffee shop like Dunkin, but the customer service was great.

0 stars. Every time I go to this particular Dunkin’ the workers are always scrambling to fix problems with customers orders or some other disaster is going on. My most recent visit I waited for at least 10 minutes for someone to take my order. While waiting, a homeless looking woman comes in with a plastic bag and starts stealing mugs, thermoses, tons of sugar packets, Diet Coke, then after taking her time casually walks out the door. (Please check your security cameras 11/3/18 8:10am) No employees even bothered to notice or care. When I finally ordered, the guy behind the counter can’t open a packet of dried fruit for my oatmeal so he tried to tear open the package using the corner of the dirty countertop. After failing, he asked if I could just do it myself. (Gladly). I had to include a picture of my oatmeal because this is just hilarious. What a joke of a business and a waste of my time and money.

By far the worst Dunkin’ Donuts around they never have everything in stock like simple things pretzel bites honey for your Tea. Sometimes even run out of the caramel for caramel iced coffee‘s The other day I went to order their donuts french fries didn’t have any I wanted a hot tea with honey didn’t have any honey the day before that I wanted to have pretzel bites they have pretzel bites usually wait about 15 minutes to get service on Sundays at the drive-through now is the time to get your coffee roll this place really needs a wake up call and the only reason why I’ve given it a two star review is because a few of the employees there bend over backwards to try to make things right when the management staff can’t even be bothered We will usually drive out of her way to go to one of the other Dunkin’ Donuts in the local area because this location is...
