Golden Garden — Restaurant in Jamesburg

Best chinese take-out in the area. Always tastes fresh never greasey. Vegetables got that crunch still which I enjoy. I've had the fried rice, boneless spareribs, Vegetable mei fun which is my go to and you can taste each individual components, not like most Chinese restaurants where everything tastes the same. Not here! Even the spring rolls something so simple, but I can taste the ginger the carrots to the cabbage. Lived in Jamesburg all my life and been surrounded by plenty of places that open then close then open up and close again. Golden Garden has been in the same spot since I was a little troublemaker running the streets. And I was still always welcome in for a delicious bite to eat. One of the hardest working family owned businesses....

Place was freezing cold inside, guys its winter. Had to wait almost 30mins for an $18 meal that was $7.99 worth of food(if that!), woman behind the counter was rude and short with me(as she was with every customer), the food was disgusting, I ordered vegetable lomein that was all noodles, 2 pieces of broccoli and one sliver of carrot(i dug around and counted the pices!), it tasted like pure raw shrimp, the white rice tasted and felt like it was glued together. We just ordered from this restaurant and by far, pleasantly impressed by the experience!!! The order came in fast and everything that was asked for was included. The food was AMAZING!!! Hands down the BEST Chinese food in NJ!!! Everything was so fresh and tasty, you could tell that they prepare their food once ordered because I know cooking and this was amazing food!!!
