GR's Sandwich Shoppe — Restaurant in Janesville

I placed an order for delivery and the order did not arrive until an hour and a half later! When it did come the food was cold and a few of the items were missing that I had paid for. I called back and spoke to the owner and she said she was going to resend the entire order. After two hours with no food I called back and spoke to a manager who said she was never going to send the food. I asked to speak to the owner who was going to resend the order and the manager told me she was next to her when she told me she was going to send it and knew she was not going to send it. She said we are refunding the money and hung up. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS PLACE! The food was not good and the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. In a city this big to be competitive you would think they would show some appreciation for their customers. ...

Haven't ordered from Herr in a couple of months but it was really good last time so we went with delivery tonight. First, the two $10 sandwiches we ordered barely had anything on them. One piece of bacon as a $1.50 add on, really? Next, they forgot one of our items and when we called, they had the gall to ask if we still wanted it. Didn't ask if we wanted refunded, a credit or anything like that... just, oh did you still want that expensive item you paid for and we forgot? Needless to say we won't be back. Such a shame.

Additional info: After 2 phone calls, they never did send a replacement. My wife was so mad she went down to the restaurant. They lied and said it was the delivery drivers fault. Then pointed to the cooler for her to grab a replacement salad. That's it. No apologies, no let us make it up...

My experience there was overall very positive. I used a coupon that they had and ordered a gyro to go which came with waffle fries. Being pretty hungry. I tried the waffle fries. As soon as I got back to my motorcycle. They were not hot and we're just a bit greasy (for my taste) but crunchy overall and flavorful. The gyro I waited to eat at home which was about a mile away. I must say it was excellent. Big juicy chunks of ripe tomato, red onion and lots of meat. Didn't get a real chance to taste the tzatziki sauce as it was all over the aluminum and not really on the sandwich. Probably not the best thing to order to go.
