Rock County Fairgrounds — Local services in Janesville

So disappointed!!!! Everything was going ok until they shut the whole fair down at 8:00!!! Everything I read online said 11...I have attended this event for the last 20yrs of my life never have they closed early on Sunday always open till 11 maybe 10:30...this yr because of all the virus rigamarole we didn't do our normal 4h exhibiting instead going just as guests for the first time since I was a kid. The only wristband day that I could fit in my crazy work schedule and they closed early... wouldn't even let us finish our coins in the coin pusher because the carni said he "couldn't be here all night" aNother guest said they had gotten timing wrong all week!! If I would have known in advance I would have made another day work so we could have gone all day. Very dissatisfied with the way...

I've only been to the Rock County Fairgrounds a few times mostly for the 4-H steak dinner and I went a few times for The Rock County Fair it's a pretty small fair not really much to do my husband and I don't have kids so all the rides are mostly geared towards the younger ones and the teenagers I love the fair food who doesn't love fair food corn dogs funnel cakes cotton candy the fair itself is run down and they need better entertainment lineup as well as they need to make the fair bigger they should move it somewhere else in Janesville are they should just knock it down and rebuild a whole new Fair it's falling apart plus parking is horrendous you have to park on the side of the street so good luck with finding a parking spot...

For being a fairgrounds it's too small, it should be moved to the outskirts of the town and made llarger. My hometown is now up to 30,000 and or fairgrounds takes up the space is both of the high school areas combined. Even elkhorn had a bigger fair then janesville. There's no benders, no people promoting their business, no give away. And the way the band have to perform is insane. Give them a real stage, you don't have to charge people to see them.
