Early Bird — Restaurant in Jasmine Estates

The Early Bird on Ridge Road in New Port Richey has very good food but this particular visit was disappointing and made me uncomfortable. The server, Nancy, unfortunately did write down the order correctly and then blamed it on the cook. But she repeated to me after I asked for different eggs and confirmed she had it incorrectly. Not taking responsibility in a business is unacceptable. But more so her attitude when I needed to speak to the cook due to my food allergies. She gave me the information needed so I could determine if I could come back…which I can now, just avoid a few items. As we were speaking the server, Nancy, made a comment about the cook and I talking, which I heard due to my exceptional hearing, and grab a cigarette and ran outside. I should note that she kept interrupting my conversation with the cook continuously to ask me if I want more hot water, which I repeatedly refused. This kind of behavior worries me. It was our first time visiting Early bird restaurant, and the moment you walk in, we were greeted and it’s such a beautiful, and cozy restaurant, and the owner and her daughter were super sweet! We started with The cinnamon French toast, which was absolutely amazing and I could eat that every day, and the coffee was so flavorful, but the best part was the classic eggs Benedict with the delicious, thick cut ham, perfectly yoked eggs , and the muffins were perfectly crisp, and the best part was the amazing hollandaise sauce full of flavor, wow, the best!!! I was blown away and the breakfast potatoes were so delicious! We cannot wait to come back again and try everything on the menu! Excellent job with our breakfast and our server, Zymiria, was so delightful and we loved her. 1st visited this place a month ago and had a wonderful experience with great good. The service was amazing. Food is very delicious.

Now comes the issue with “some” new residents. They don’t keep up with the same standards as when they 1st opened. My wife and I returned to the restaurant on Sunday around 2pm. The restaurant closes at 2:30pm it’s listed. Upon entering we were greeted with “We are out of food, Kitchen closed”!!! We did not receive a “Hi or welcome” just a dismissal. We could have just wanted coffee…. Didn’t get the chance to speak before dismissal. My issue is the lack of basic customer service I received. The other is, you are control of your business hours, if it states 2:30pm and your doors are open you need to be ready and prepared to serve customers. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING, no matter how good...
