update July 7th 2021 6:00 p.m... arrived at the restaurant and they want us to wait 30 minutes for just the salad bar and water and they have 20 open tables. I talked to the manager really calmly and she gave me attitude. Absolutely does not know how tomanage a restaurant. She said they only have two cooks. I told her we don't need a cook We are only having salad bar and water. She said go and wait 30 minutes. That is poor management and that is an excusable considering there is 20 open tables. If they don't have cooks then we could sit down and they could serve us drinks from the bar and they can make money that but when you have a bad manager they don't think about stuff like that and that kills a business.n this place has gone down the gutter. I bet you the general manager would love to read this. My recommendation is to fire the management here or this place is going down like a sinking ship. Now here is the old review: Ruby Tuesday in Port Richey Florida. I love how they have a miniature as an add-on to your dinner I think that is very genius. I think the staff is fine the waiter is good. I think the bartender is pretty good here and the bathroom is fairly clean and they have good parking. So now there's a few problems with the restaurant. the menus are outdated and very large and they are oily they need to be wiped off every single day with a good degreaser. You should not have oily menus or seats. The floor is dirty. The seats need to be updated. The tilapia was pretty raw and was overly seasoned and too hot. The flavor should have been better. The roasted zucchini was very good. The asiago bacon chicken tasted good but the presentation should have been better. It was kind of just slapped together. There was no sign of management here. The water tastes a little tainted. Is it reverse osmosis or plain tsp water? most of all the worst thing of the restaurant is the silverware I think the forks are 20 years old and how come they have not updated them. look at the forks and all you see is teeth marks from hundreds and hundreds of people. They are extremely cheap forks and they are pure disgusting and any good management would have them replaced. You're just not going to compete with the better franchises when you run a place like this.....sorry. I think...
Read moreFirst of all let me say this, I absolutely love this Ruby Tuesday. Service is spot on, food is always delicious, the salad bar is always stocked and the croutons are my absolute fave. Also, the manager Melissa is so nice and brought me freshly made croutons. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Now to the other part of my review. I scanned through these reviews and am just bewildered. First the people complaining about the food quality?! One guy even pulled out his scale to weigh his door dash order. Seriously? The food quality here is pretty amazing in my opinion. Second, the complaints about service... several obviously sat at the bar or in the bar area. Of course you got a little slower service. The bartender was not only serving you people but also making drinks for the entire rest of the restaurant. Our server was amazing. For those that thought they were waiting on you to leave a tip, no they weren't cousin Jed, they were waiting to get the ticket taken care of so you could get out of there expeditiously. I saw a complaint that the expediter didn't fill their drink. Well Karen, that's not their job. Their job is to bring your food to your table. Could the restroom be updated? Of course, but I'm there to eat. I'm not there to critique the restroom. If you go to a restaurant to critique a restroom, you are confused about what you are there to do. You are to put food in, not let it out. ALSO, if you door dashed because you were too lazy to go to the restaurant or had too bad of a day to go, your food is NOT going to be as hot as if you ate at the restaurant. Also the grammar, punctuation and spelling in some of these reviews is just atrocious. Which leads me to doubt the intellectual level of the reviewers. Sorry not sorry.
To sum this long review up, the restaurant is amazing. The people leaving these crappy reviews not so much.
Thank you Melissa and the entire staff for a...
Read moreOk, honest review time! So Ruby Tuesday's. A staple in our community! It almost got 5 stars but fell a bit short this 4th trip. The food was very good overall though! We had the new Ramen Noodle bowl, chicken sandwich and the new Shrimp Scampi. Both were hot and oh so tasty! One had fries. Ruby Tuesday - give people some fries, please! Very small amount of fries spread about a big plate. Ugh! Why?!! Moving on to the salad bar. Great selections! But, yep, a few concerns here. PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THE SALAD BAR - PLEASE! It was after 5pm, but no reason for the lettuce to be picked through and not spruced up with fresh lettuce. It's dinner time! Many of the containers were not filled and "things" from other containers fell into other containers. Cheese in the jalapeños, croutons in the salad dressing(s). Ugh! Again, Why? Well, I guess some people can be inconsiderate and sloppy, I mean messy. There was food dropped all in-between the containers also. With the amount of traffic and popularity of the salad bar here, (70% maybe?) there should be no reason why it needs to be like this! * Management needs to have a dedicated person for the salad bar - not someone doing 20 other things and coming back every 30 minutes * Someone there on hand, cleaning up and stocking the items constantly. Everyone likes an updated and clean salad buffet ** Service? Spot on perfect! Servers were very attentive, funny and friendly! A+++ The hostess was very nice as well! So he resturant itself needs some updating and the carpet really needs to be replaced, but, it is what it is. Still, 4 stars. The menu is always changing and we will be back to give it another try!...
