Asian food being my favorite, I was extremely disappointed in Son Asian. We ordered from the lunch specials and the entrees ( I had sweet sour chicken, my husband ordered pepper steak) were good. Accompanying an entree was one side and and egg roll. I ordered low mein for an upcharge of $2.00. I have never eaten anything as tasteless as this. I never add soy sauce to anything yet found myself doing so just to give it any kind of flavor. Plain noodles would have been more palatable. My husband ordered fried rice. Safron rice would have been a better description as it was yellow, with no vegetables found in a normal fried rice. He also said it was flavorless. I didn't try the egg roll after he stated how nasty it was. I tried a bite later just to agree. It was uneatable. Finishing off our Valentines Day lunch with ice tea, I would highly suggest that more care be given to cleaning the tea container. If not cleaned properly, tea will taste moldy. Yeah it did. We mentioned our disappointment to the waitress. She offered management, but we were not after having our meals compted. Glad we tried the specials instead of paying the big bucks for standard meals. On the up side if you're interested, they have a large sushi menu. Maybe to others' liking, but not mine.

Just happened to be driving through town and came across this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back (which I appreciated, as I wasn't dressed to impress by any means). Although, I will say I didn't necessarily enjoy that the server we had had no personality whatsoever. I can understand being shy, but it didn't seem as though that was the case. It just seemed like she didn't care much. She wasn't the worst ever by ANY means, but that was the "worst part" of the whole experience. All of the food was pretty good, hot, and fresh, the restaurant was clean, and so was the bathroom. Overall, I would go back if I'm in town again.

We ordered the calamari, wonton soup, and two orders of Happy Family. Everything was excellent. The wonton soup was simple with a bright flavor and fresh green onions. The calamari were cooked perfectly and battered with a light and crispy coating. They were served with a sweet and savory sauce as well as some lettuce and jalapenos. I was impressed with the Happy Family plate which includes some vegetables, shrimp, chicken, and real scallops. The white sauce was light and bright with an overall fresh flavor. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. Our server was very quick and didn't bug us a lot. We'll be back. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Have three experiences with this business.

First time was at the Jasper location. The food was bland and overpriced but worst of all their employees stole my credit card number and charged minutes to a track phone. I proved this with the police and the business owner (nice man).

Second time was at the newly opened Kirbyville location. I found their to-go menu on their website and called to make an order. The airhead on the phone was rude and disrespectful. She said "we don't have to-go menus" as if I was a liar. I told her that I'm looking at it right now on their website. She became belligerent and I hung up. Called back 2 minutes later and a different airhead answered the phone. She was even more rude and when I asked to speak to the manager I heard her lie to him, saying in anger: "this guy has called like four times and is insulting us" --none of that was true at all! I had only called twice and was --and am-- a very clear-spoken and polite person. I told the manager that she is a liar and rude and needed better training in appropriate customer service. Unbelievable stupid and trashy behavior.

Few days latter my wife called in an order and they forgot to give her literally half the food she ordered and when she had to drive all the way back they did not apologize and acted annoyed that she wanted a full refund.

But the worst thing about them is their nasty food; you may think it's subjective, but of all the Asian style restaurants in the area they have the worst tasting and most bland dishes. It's shockingly bad. How do you mess up such simple food staples to where the food is just plain disgusting!?

Their buildings and interiors are "fancy" --but that is where it ends. The food simply sucks hard.

Tip: Go the the Chinese buffet in Jasper for awesome Asian food (although they need to clean their nasty bathrooms).

Anyway, the two stars I rated are for the business owner. He cares about his customers. Perhaps his problem is the low-grade people he is forced to employ in this...

A Flavorful Journey at Son Asian Bistro!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Son Asian Bistro for the first time, and I cannot express how delighted I am with my experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

The menu is a delightful exploration of Asian cuisine, and the flavors are nothing short of amazing. Each dish I tried was a burst of taste that left me wanting more. It's evident that the chefs put a lot of care into their cooking, using fresh ingredients that truly shine in every bite.

What truly impressed me were the lunch prices – incredible value for the quality and quantity of food served. It's a fantastic option for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank.

Overall, my experience at Son Asian Bistro exceeded my expectations. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. If you're looking for an authentic Asian dining experience with fantastic flavors and friendly service, I highly recommend giving Son Asian Bistro a try! You won’t be...
