These people are predators! They will create fake charges to take your money! Evidenced by historical Google reviews and my families personal experience!||We had to stay here in a pinch during the holidays. My husband is from the town and familiar with some of the staff. Once we checked out, everything seem to be very smooth we even went the extra mile as we always do in cleaning up after ourselves. We are very familiar with smoking policies at various hotels. We have stayed at half a dozen if not more Airbnb’s with similar policies we have never, and I mean never violated a policy regarding smoking.||My husband not only had conversations with other guest members at the hotel. He also had conversations with staff members at the hotel while he was smoking out outside and y’all were talking November he would put on a jumpsuit and go outside and smoke.||I reached out to the hotel on many many occasions after we returned home and had an additional charge placed on my card when I inquired about the charge, they informed me that they believed we were smoking in the room. When I reached out and asked to speak to management. I was advised that they would take down my information and call me back. They never called me back. I had to continually pursue communication with the hotel each and every time not getting a straightforward answer. I spoke with the manager Brock he informed me that he was going to a conference the very next day, but the day after he would be in contact with the staff at the hotel to confirm if there was any evidence of smoking.||Why did I have to continue to call and follow up with no response and no return phone call each and every time if there was any evidence that anybody was smoking in that hotel room? I reach out to corporate after I’ve had enough I’ve already started the dispute process with my bank because I’ve already had enough corporate send them a letter, requesting that they respond to me within 2 to 5 business days. They never responded. I call corporate again and they reach out to the hotel. Finally get a response and they say they’re going to standby their charges because the room smelled like smoke and they found ashes again this is impossible. Completely impossible. He spoke to staff that he knew on a personal level from his hometown while smoking outside. Why would someone smoke outside sometimes and then smoke in the room other times? They wouldn’t, that wouldn’t make sense.||Our hotel room door was within a short distance of a camera. Hotel staff obviously would have access to that camera and yet no one‘s checking the footage to see my husband smoking outside of the room so now after over two weeks almost to three of checking out of that hotel room all of a sudden they magically find ashes , the nonsense of it just to be predators and to get a little bit of extra money is the most frustrating part. I know some people might go to this length I’m not that person if I know I’m in the wrong. Why would I call for weeks and get corporate involved and go through this lengthy process of verbalizing what happened in a Google review?||The moment I hang up with corporate, explaining to them, what happened, and how this is completely ridiculous I reach out to the hotel to inquire about the camera footage and inquire about the evidence, and what took so long to try to provide it, even though it’s completely fabricated and of course Brock is going to a meeting and he’s unavailable. This is the poorest customer service experience that I’ve had in a very long time! I will also be filing a complaint with a Better Business Bureau but mind you they’re not accredited with them, which is not a surprise because of how poor they treat people. Complaint submitted. This is the poorest representation of Best Western and...
Read more*repeat customer We travel 7hrs to visit family in Newton and lodge in Jasper, several times a year. We have almost stayed at every hotel in Jasper and we thought we finally found a winner being Best Western.
The first stay: I was hesitant entering the room because the buildings are dated and old. However, upon entering the room my nostrils detected the odor of bleach. Then when I turned on the light the most clean room I have stayed in Jasper laid before me. And it was clear the room(s) have been updated with TVs, beds, etc. my wife was so comfortable in the room we extended our visit another night lol.
Second stay: repeat the above paragraph Third stay: great! Fourth stay: great! Skipping ahead ... 9th stay: arrived, paid for room, go run some errands. Return, open door to room, not greeted with the bleach smell, but instead a body odor and stale beer smell. I Look around beer cans were everywhere and the beds slept in. Obviously, the room had not been cleaned after the last guests departure.
Not a big deal. I’ll just get a new room, right? Right!?
But now I have aggravated, hungry and tired wife, along with a confused 2 year old who is also tired of being in the car.
I enter back into the lobby and there are several other people checking in. I wait and wait some more, I notice some confusion going on behind the counter. The guys working are claiming to have trouble with the “network”? They finally get it worked out, and get the people before me checked in and on their way.
After waiting 15 minutes or so, it’s my turn. To what should be a simple switching of rooms. I hand the guy my keycards to the dirty room and ask for a clean room. The guy immediately starts typing on the computer and he gets a cold look on his face and calls the other guy over. They chat, one of them walks off and the other starts typing on the computer. So I ask what’s the hold up, I’m told the “network” is down and we have to wait till the “network” is up again. So I wait some more.
While waiting another hotel person shows up, who may be the owner? He notices me waiting and asks the guy behind the counter why I am in the lobby. They chat and the owner comes around with an excuse to why my original room was dirty. And I’m like I don’t care about the excuse or the original room, I just want to get into a clean room. He responded with the room is being cleaned now. And sure enough through the window I could see the guy who walked off, outside hastily lugging dirty bedding out of the room.
But now, it is clear the “network” was never down. And I was being lied too, in order to stall me while they hastily clean the room, the room was dirty enough to require a deep clean. Not a slap job done by the front desk worker.
I ask how long will the room cleaning take? the answer was at least an hour. At that point I ask for a refund which I got.
If they would’ve just told me they have to clean the room instead of lying to me about a down network. Along with the owner flinging excuses at me, like I care why the room was dirty.
In short, They dropped ball.
But, life is about second chances. And If the holiday inn down the street doesn’t work out we...
Read moreI wouldve given them a 2.5 but not a 3.. The price was right, the room has been updated and was nice on the inside. Big tv, the bed wasnt too uncomfortable. The issue was the customer service we received in the morning. There was 3 workers in the lobby and it took my husband 7 minutes to get any type of service.. He wanted the hot breakfast they mentioned the night before. (The hot breakfast was actually really good) Then in one of our bath towels it had nasty hair wad wrapped up in it. The soap dispenser in the shower had virtually no soap in it. So we go to call the office and get the supplies.. The phone isn't working. So my husband goes to the lobby.. The worker said they were aware the phone wasn't working, the soap dispensers were going to all be filled today. So we wait for a new bath towel and the soap for 40 mins.. Nothing. So I head back to the office so my husband can finish getting ready. Theres no one at the front desk.. I see a women working in back office.. She sees me and asks what she can help with. I explain to her the 2 items needed. She proceeds to tell me about the soap dispensers being filled today.. Thats great and all. I respond with I just need a bar soap then to use right now and can I get a bath towel. She seemed annoyed, got me a bar of soap and walkie talkied housekeeping about the towel. As I'm walking to our room, a gentlemen yells out to me my room number. I respond with yes, I walk over to get a bath towel. They tell me that they are all in the dryer. He talks to another worker and she comes out with a warm wash cloth from the dryer.. Definetly nothing that will dry my husbands body off with. Not terrible but not a good experience either.. You get what you pay for! Will not stay here or recommend for...
