Cafe Prague — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I came to Cafe Prague on June 8. at 2pm. Too late for regular coffee for me so I ordered DECAF. I already had a bad experience with decaf at this place before so I asked the waitress whether she was sure she had decaf. She said yes. A minute or two later, just to be 100% sure I told her that in that past after having "decaf" at Cafe Prague I didn't sleep whole night. She assured me third time that it's gonna be decaf! It's June 9. an hour and 20 minutes after midnight and instead of sleeping I'm writing this review!!! ...

Update - two days later. After cooling off I'm removing the harsh part about lying( written in anger right on that long sleepless night) A reaction to owners comments: I had this experience twice after drinking what was supposed to be decaf at your restaurant. First time I gave your establishment the benefit of the doubt.

So while I appreciate that your containers are labeled, I still stand by my experience. Something went wrong. Two identical reactions — both after visits to your restaurant — speak for themselves.

The owner response that the container was labeled decaf basically implied my experience...

Absolutely awful service! Do not eat here. I would give zero stars if I could.

We made a reservation via phone for lunch and then they called to confirm our reservation a day later.

When we arrived the worker looked angry and told us there was no way we made a reservation. We explained that we had even received a confirmation call. She then said in a snarky tone “Well, was that just yesterday?!” We said “No, it was actually a couple days ago” but it shouldn’t matter when it was confirmed anyway.

Even though there was only one other table even there, she wanted to sit us in the very back corner with no lights. We asked if we could sit somewhere with better lighting and she acted as if that was such a taxing and terrible request.

She begrudgingly got us a table ready that was in an area with lighting. We sat and waited. No one gave us water, menus, utensils, etc.

Then a child came in bouncing a basketball around and we just left. We were clearly not wanted there anyway. There was such a negative energy, and I was honestly worried of the quality of food they would...

I wish it was possible to give half a star to reflect the experience I had at this establishment. First, the waitress made a mistake on my order but I just asked for my intended request as a side order and was considering paying extra but she informed me I couldn't have it with my meal then changed her story that I could, but it will cost extra. She didn't apologize nor acknowledge her mistake but I let it go. So after eating my meal (my steak wasn't even hot and wasn't prepared the way I requested) i asked for the check, I had to make this request multiple times before she finally delivered the check to me. I gave her my AMEX card and she quickly informed me that they don't accept AMEX but I told her it clearly shows on the door that they accept it. She responded rudely "well I don't know what it says on the door but we don't accept it". Luckily I had another card and paid to include a $0.00 tip. Maybe they provide better service to individuals that look like them or the waitress was having a bad day or various other reasons. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT...
