Cafeteria Marianao — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

This place is no longer a cuban spot. They blast mexican music all day everyday. No cuban music. No salsa. No merengue. No bachata. Not even parranda music during this christmas. Every time i go there its like they dont care to cater to the cubans at all. Or even carribean people period. They might as well change the cuban map to a mexican map n change the name to cafeteria mexico. Then itll make sense. Not to mention that theyre disgracing the sandwhich putting mexican salsa on them. That shouldnt even be on the menu. I much rather go to an authentic cuban carribean spot than this. Its real sad n beyond irratating. The owners are sell outs. No longer coming here. food is good. But they need to get a little bit better on the sandwich’s and make better pieces, yes the sandwich’s are good we go every week day. But there’s only some guy in the front opening doors and being loud, and always asking for change, and the lady at the register is very nice but sometimes she doesn’t give you your drink until you go up to her and ask it, I be getting the steak sandwich with onions, and when I first took a bit it was good, but the second bite just made me gag. they let the meat stay in there for to long it’s soggy and doesn’t have any flavor, the egg is to mushy and they only cook it for 1-2 minutes. First time coming here, I ask the guy at the register if he can break 100$. He said yes we order our food got my change grab our food and left, well when i got home i realize that i was shorted 10$ in fairness my mistake was that i should of counted the change right after we order but i was confident that he would give the exact amount. so please count your money before you leave and this business is cash only, i always pay with my card for the most part.
