La Esquinita Taqueria — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Like so many hole in the wall Mexican restaurants, this was good.

Like some of the many good Mexican restaurants, this was great!

Stopped after an appointment at Shriners Hospital as the "kid" just has to have tacos. It was close by, and all of our favorites are not in that direction, so a search on this here Google maps showed me a few close places.

I have to say I was very impressed. The food was so fresh, and, oh my god, so delicious. The salsas have some heat, but nothing to knock out your taste buds, so you can still enjoy the meal after having to much. (I had leftover verde, and used it to make chilaquiles the next day, it was so good)

I had the chili relleno tacos, and they were phenomenal. I ordered 3, should have eaten only 2, they were so big. Stuffed I was!

Definitely don't judge a book by its cover. This place...

We decided to dine in at this restaurant because everyone was writing good reviews. 1st thing the waiter did great us but didn't provide us with any water only chips. The restaurant was cold and had a small space Heather on. We ordered our food and we informed the waiter that we didn't want any cheese on our beans for dairy allergy. There was cheese on the beans and we informed the waitress,all the waitress did is scoop the cheese out with a spoon and she was constantly on her phone. She didn't ask us if we needed or want anything. If we needed something we would get up and ask her. The arrachera tasted burnt. We will not be going...

Food is really good!

Came here for lunch and I had the carne asada and it came with grilled onions and nopalitos so yum!!! The tortillas are homemade and fresh. 💗🌵

The service is very good. Jose, the server was very very attentive and willing to answer all my questions.

Beto, the chef there came out to give me some advice on which platillo to order since I’m not familiarized with Mexican cuisine, and I got my entrée pretty fast.
