La Palma Express Restaurant — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

Customer service was horrible! Me and my husband order three meals. When the younger lady was making the beef stew my husband asked for potatoes because she didn’t scoop any on the spoon with the beef stew. The entire time a older lady is watching her every move and tells the younger lady to stop. Then as the younger lady was wrapping the food in plastic so it won’t spill another lady comes from the back and unwrap our food! Why why why!!! To make sure she didn’t give us more so we can pay extra. Why not ask her instead of unwrapping our food? The oldest lady never spoke until she told the younger woman not to put any more food in our containers! I would have paid extra but for 30 something dollars I deserve some potatoes with my beef stew. We would have left but we came from the south side. My husband has been eating here for years but as of today NOT ANY MORE!! Just rude and unprofessional people! The youngest lady was nice but the other two 🤬!! Hard earn money...

MAGGOTS IN FOOD! STAY AWAY! IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH! Had to put 1 star ONLY because otherwise would not allow me to post, if not would be ZERO!!. The food in this place is so old to the point of MAGGOTS. Worse of all is the employees like ANTONIA & her co-worker know the food is bad and sell it to you anyway!. Date of purchase was Friday Sept. 15, 2017. They we're over heard laughing and whispering they would not eat that if it was them. Many times we hear certain things at times and may think what's being said is strange, but don't always react like we should till it's too late. NOW what they said makes sense. They wouldn't eat it Because they knew it was bad or spoiled. What kind of people do that??. Two of my family members ate from this 1 day before they looked this way(actually, less than a day). I pray they don't get sick, and ANTONIA & her co-worker should pray too. We plan on filing a complaint with the health...

My BFF came here to begin our celebration of "Girlz weekend out"... We couldn't have started it off more right... My BFF felt like she was at her parents table having an authentic home cooked meal prepared by her parents... Each sliced vegetables, kneaded plantain, deep fried appetizer, Jibarito as an entree and topped with Tembleque for dessert... I'm sure you guessed by now that I'm a native of Chicago who speaks proper english and my BFF is the feisty Puerto Rican in the background who is auto-correcting how to say and spell her native land cuisine... lol... because of the authenticity of the well seasoned food and the courteous, generous & downhome customer service we received from everyone that worked there...WE...
