The place where seafood goes to be completely ruined. One word need only describe the food- OVERCOOKED. Shrimp so overdone you could stone someone to death with it. Scallops that would be an insult to bay scallops the world over. Crab legs that looked like they’ve been in a freezer since WWII. And the help could have barely been less friendly. The ambiance inside the restaurant is like a a pirate decorated his idea of a dungeon while high on LSD. The building once had windows in the front. The new owners chose to build out around those windows on the inside, making each one look like a submarine portal with a fake looking seascape behind it- no more natural light (?).

I live right around the corner from this place; it has been a different Mexican restaurant when I first moved here that never had any business. That the currant occupant has multiple locations in two different states made me think this place has something going for it. Apparently that “something” is enough patrons who can’t tell good food from absolutely awful food and don’t care about the difference, but with prices as high as they are here, they’re obviously people with both no taste buds and more disposable income then they know what to do with. Avoid this place...

This was honestly the worst service I’ve had in a long time. I ordered a mojarra a la diabla and clearly asked for the rice and salad on the side so it wouldn’t get soggy. That didn’t happen. I also ordered two large ceviches, but ended up getting the wrong size and they didn’t even include tostadas.

I called to explain the issue, and the person I spoke with “ Pedro” was super rude and basically acted like I was making things up. He said they’d need to take the food back to “check” if what I was saying was true. Seriously? Not only did they mess up my order, but now I’m being questioned and expected to drive all the way back just to prove it?

When he asked what I wanted, I said just send me the correct order through Uber or give me a refund and he refused. He kept insisting I drive back instead. Completely unprofessional and honestly just disrespectful.

This whole experience was a mess. Definitely not ordering...

We ordered a ceviche as a starter that came with shrimp, and as a main course my husband ordered some pasta with shrimp and I ordered a fish that came in seafood sauce. To my surprise, when the ceviche arrived along with the other dishes, I realized that the shrimp have not been deveined!!!!!! A ceviche is usually made with raw fish, omg how they are going to put shrimp that are not deveined, basically they are putting the shrimp with all its stomach (and poop) so that you can eat it. When I asked to return the dishes, the restaurant manager stated that all their dishes that contained shrimp it would be like that. He assured that none of his customers had complained about it and that I was not going to find a shrimp with the flavor they had anywhere in Chicago. It's a miracle that they haven't had a health problem or a major problem due to people getting sick from...

It's my first time here and I'm not diaspointed. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the decor. They got this whole marina theme going on. When you sit down the serve you a small bowl of seviche with tostadas and 2 different hot sauces. The one on the pic is the hottest sauce i have ever tasted and im Mexican. I've ate some hot sauces before but this sauce... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 It should have a sign that says "eat at your own risk". The waitress, Noemi, was really nice and attentive. She made sure we had anything we need. I had the Red Snaper in garlic sauce and it was delicious. The rice, however, was not homemade. As a matter of fact, that is the same rice we use to package at the food processing plant for other restaurants and airplanes. I feel like that took away from the dish. Here you have a great tasting fish with generic, box tasting rice.

Visited 06.21.2023 Crab legs were spoiled, smelled really bad and yellow colored. My fiancé is a chef for over 10 years with a food handlers license and when he brought up the incident to the cook the cook had the audacity to say they were good, owner was on the phone the at the time being, very rude, not ethical at all and completely useless, has no idea on how to run a business nor talk to customers. Tried fighting back, and cooks there most defines do not have a good handlers license. Will not be coming back here ever again!
