If I could leave 10 stars, I would. Context- I did not have high hopes because i have had a hard time trying to find a play cafe truly suitable for a younger child (10 months) 🥲 many cafes have spaces designed for babies and toddlers, but don’t really have anything in place to prevent older children running unattended in these areas, and feels stressful and hazardous. I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Though it may seem smaller- they make excellent use of the space. They have a train structure, a wooden climbing and slide structure, reading area, seating, train table, books, and more. I came in the morning and everything looked clean, organized, and well kept. The area for babies is enclosed using furniture so it feels safe even when the older children are running freely. They have baby books, small soft play blocks, and other miscellaneous baby specific toys. They have a quiet room equipped with a rocking chair for feeding babies or children who may get overstimulated that need some peace and quiet. Bathrooms are clean, come equipped with changing tables and even emergency diapers and wipes if a parent forgets or runs out. I didn’t order food or drink, but everything looked delicious and they seem to have a wide variety of options. They have seating and high chair(s) available. I will definitely be ordering next time and update my review. Parking is easy and convenient right in front, it’s a small shared lot with other businesses. On their website they say the lot across the street is available for use if it ever gets full. They also do birthday parties and have information pamphlets readily available at the front for parents to take home. All in all, I was very happy with my experience at Sunny Village Cafe. I would highly recommend for any parent whose child prefers a calmer environment or parents with toddlers and babies who would like to explore a play cafe without any concerns for safety. This space truly feels like it was designed by parents for parents, they have really thought of all the little details necessary for a great experience with children.

I take my twins here often with our family membership. Definitely worth it if you are going a few times a week. The manager is very sweet and helpful. She works really hard to maintain the cafe/play space so it’s organized and clean. The owner is lovely and always warm and welcoming when we see her. Would love to see some new toys or puzzles etc. added even just like a few more baby dolls since sometimes they are being used by other kids when there is a lot of kids at once. Or like maybe a toy rotation type of thing so that there is newer things for the families that come often to keep the kids engaged and excited. Would be amazing to see additional plant based/vegan options on the menu too for families that don’t do egg/dairy/honey etc. I find often that I would love to stay longer and purchase lunch for the kids but it’s a bit difficult with the options that are currently available. (Not trying to be nit picky, just more of a suggestion next time there are menu updates) I love how eco-friendly the cafe is with reusable mugs/cups/plates/forks & spoons. The reusable sandals to wear that are washed after each use is nice too. There is a separate pair for the bathrooms so that germs from the bathroom are not spread around which is very mindful and we really appreciate. We love the cafe so much and hope more people support this family owned business!

This weekend we celebrated our daughter’s 3rd birthday. I cannot be happier with my experience when communicating and how much the Sunny Village Cafe team not only extremely receptive, available and organized… they took care of everything. It was a great party. Great coffee, lots of fun for the kids, relaxing for the parents, low stress for me…. And very affordable. I can’t recommend this place enough for birthday parties for your littles. Glad this opened as a lovely neighborhood option for the colder months. Thank you Sunny Village cafe for organizing a zero stress birthday party for my kiddo!

UPDATE : 5/23/25

The owner graciously contacted me, offering a sincere apology and an invitation to return to make things right.

Additionally, next steps were shared which includes additional staff training and updates to playspace rules to enhance visitor safety.

As mentioned in my original review, the playspace itself is wonderful, and after speaking with the owner I truly appreciated how promptly she addressed this situation. I will be returning because I want to see this local business thrive.

I visited for the first time today and was very impressed with the playspace design and features. The attendant at the front desk was also very kind.

My primary concern, however, lies with the enforcement of playspace rules. My friend and I visited today with our 2.5-year-old children. We encountered an older child, approximately four or five years old, who was consistently aggressive with other children, particularly when they approached him or tried to play with the same toys. After this child repeatedly hit my friend's son in the face—with no intervention from his caregiver—I felt it was necessary to ask the attendant to enforce the cafe's "no hitting, kicking, wrestling, or rough-housing" policy, as stated on the website.

Unfortunately, the aggressive behavior continued, with the older child physically attacking both my child and my friend's child. While the attendant did rush over once she heard the commotion, the damage was already done, and our experience was significantly soured, resulting in us cutting the visit short.

I believe the situation would have been resolved more effectively had the aggressive child been asked to leave.

I'd appreciate it if you could clarify your playspace procedure for situations involving repeated aggressive behavior.

I would love to return, as the playspace itself is wonderful, but I am honestly hesitant given...
