The District House — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

On this night... Oh, Who am I kidding... on MANY frequent nights we visit District House, one of our favorite watering holes. The reason we love this place is because the place is nice and modern with a nice comfy decor, they have an EXCELLENT whiskey and bourbon selection amongst all other spirits, but mostly because of the SERVICE! The staff, from the owner to each of the bartenders, they treat you like a long time friend. The drinks pack a punch and the ambiance is always upbeat. They strive to provide different events weekly and even nightly and for every mood. They also have a back patio for private parties or you can host your event inside. Was at a birthday party at a home near by and wanted to check out the local bar. Was met with extreme racism. The bartender apologized but did nothing of the individuals harassing us. I did not leave until I finished my beer although one of the main individuals stood next to me while asking me where me and my friends were from. I hear it depends what night you stop by, which dictates what response you get, but I’ve never experienced such clear animosity to an individual group that has been accepted by everyone present. My husband and I stopped in and we were highly disappointed! One of the customers was getting over served and he was intoxicated. The parking was inaccessible and the atmosphere was boring . My drink was very weak and under poured.There were a bunch of people sitting at the end of the bar with an intoxicated lady , she was giving me bad looks . I felt so uncomfortable. The entire place is clicky , I would not be surprised if the 5 star or 4 star rating are from friends . I will never return . Many more places to choose from in the area with better drinks at a...
