I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Jarasa Kabob, especially after being a loyal customer for so long. I placed a simple order for soup and a side kebab and waited over 12 minutes, all while watching staff members standing around doing absolutely nothing. When I politely asked for extra croutons to make up for the wait, I was flat-out told "no," which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
The real disappointment hit when I got home. The soup, which is usually the highlight of my visit, was watered down, lukewarm, and lacked the thick, creamy consistency I’ve come to expect. It felt like I paid $10 for a bowl of water. Has the recipe changed, or was this just an off day? Either way, it was unacceptable.
What makes this worse is that I reached out to the restaurant to share my concerns directly, hoping they’d address the situation, but my email was ignored. This lack of response speaks volumes about their attitude toward customer feedback.
I genuinely used to enjoy Jarasa Kabob, but after this experience, I’m reconsidering if it’s worth supporting them in the future. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve, but as of now, I can’t recommend this...
Read moreOrdered the spicy chicken Kebob through Grubhub pick up. It was a Thursday evening an hour before close. Arrived and they didn’t receive the order apparently due to a system issue. No worries, problems happen in software. Got the order prepared relatively quickly but the food was not good and the main protein was burnt (see picture). These were the really burnt ones. Being from that part of the world and a half a century old I’ve eaten plenty of middle eastern food so take that as an expectation measuring stick.
The chicken was burnt pretty bad. The Mediterranean salad sauce was good but a bunch of the leaves were wilted so couldn’t finish. The humus was mediocre at best but that could be subjective. The rice was decent and the garlic and hot sauces were edible so can’t complain there. Unfortunately, even if their food may be great some of the time (reading other reviews), there is no consistency if this can be served when their serving dishes have a clear top and you can clearly see the chicken was burnt pretty bad. That just shows a lack of care. In any case, try it out and see what you think. Hope your...
Read moreI ordered a lamb kabob meal and it was thee driest, hardest, overcooked almost stale tasting meat I've had in a while. The skewers were so stiff you could use them as makeshift bongo sticks. Even the rice was very dry, I had to pour over sauce on top for flavor. I pondered, thinking to myself, maybe I ordered the wrong meal but when the rice is sub par I would equate that quality to the rest of the food options. I will say that the sauces and side dish tried were very tasty [hence the two stars 🌟 🌟]. Separately, while I was waiting for service, if you look up at the ceiling the vents were covered in a layer of black dust, dirty, and unkept lacking maintenance for a halal grade restaurant. The exterior entrance also smells of raw sewage which I know is out of the establishment control, but if you are planning on eating there, you may experience unpleasant whiffs of it and imo the business should really address that with the city for remediation. Parking is a shared business lot and usually full. Positively, the staff was friendly...
