Our first time visiting. Jefferson is a quaint little town. Peaceful and quiet. Was surprised to see a Thai restaurant there with such great reviews. So of course we had to stop by. We are originally from Hawaii and very used to eating at Thai restaurants. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and she promptly brought us our Waters And menu And was very attentive to us throughout the meal. I decided to try the volcano chicken because I've never had that at a Thai restaurant before. It was pretty good. There's spicy heat is done on the scale of 1 to 5. I ordered two but since it has a sweet and spicy sauce I probably could have ordered a three or four so that the spicy and sweet would balance out better. The crispy fried Chicken was very light batter, and not heavy and not too crunchy. The carrots and especially the broccoli were so fresh and bright colors. Not like something that's been cooked days ago and turning pale. The broccoli was not overcooked and not undercooked. It was just perfect. My wife had the evil Prince and she said it was really good with enough heat that she was sniffling right off the bat. That's usually how we like the heat. And it was only a two. The spring rolls were tasty but I usually like It crispier. But I have to say the papaya salad was the absolute best I've ever had of any Thai place I've been to. It was so fresh and not loaded with fish sauce, I could eat that everyday. And the portion of everything was generous. The rice was good but We are rice snobs LOL. Jasmine rice would have been better for us. I really prefer Thai sticky rice, but every place I've been to here in Oregon serves it in a Ziploc bag and I just don't get why and don't like it like that. I'm not sure how they do their sticky rice cuz I was afraid it might come in a ziplock bag. So I don't know how it comes so I really can't review that. I would definitely come back again and maybe try the Panang at a number 3 heat. My wife did mention that she liked that the tofu looked like it was fried first which she really likes and lots of veggies.. There was so much food we couldn't finish So they gave us some takeout boxes to put it in. The prices were extremely reasonable and quite a few dollars less than other places we've been to. The phone was ringing with takeout orders as soon as they opened. We will be back when my parents come visit. They love fresh Thai...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisiting from out of state, staying a nearby Airbnb, & decided to support local. It sounded good just based on the reviews. BEST ORANGE CHICKEN EVER!! Picky husband was thrilled - the sauce wasnāt too thick or sweet, the plentiful portion of chicken was incredibly tender, & the breading was flaky & crusty, even when sauced! The veggies were beautifully presented as well. The Pad Thai was very tasty as well, serving was more than enough for 2 meals! Again, the sauce was just right, chicken was good, & nice balance of veggies. As we waited for our food, there was a steady stream of locals coming for takeout, which is always a good sign. Our waitress Nora was delightful, friendly, & we enjoyed laughing with her as we checked out. The owner thanked us as we left the restaurant, & as we drove away, he was outside & waved us goodbye! I told Nora I wanted the recipe for the chicken & she said she gives it out to customers⦠after their 10th visit! š Since Iām from out of state, she gave me ā3 creditsā. So now I just have to order 7 more times in the next 4 days, which tbh wouldnāt make sad! Delicious food, sweet people, nice atmosphere. What are you waiting for?? Thai food for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here today with my uncle and grandmonther and great grandmother, I was shocked about how great the prices were! I expected the food to be fantastic like most small town food places, what I did not expect was the ammount of food for such a fair price. Not only was the food fantasic but the atmosphere was wonderful as well. The temperature was perfect; not too hot, not too cold. Everything was spotless. And the walls were covered in very nice paintings which were both fitting for Oregon and Thailand, and one of the thai monarch, which I found equal parts charming and amusing. The service was impeccable, our server was a very nice woman who made sure to make sure we had plenty of water and that we knew the menu fully. She also helped out my grandmothers as there age can make it hard for them to move. Not only was our server great but the chefs did a great job as the food was not only hot and fresh but also came out with speed and splendor requiring minimum wait. Over all I had a great experience here today and not only do I plan on returning but I also plan on letting others know to come...
