24 Coastal Grill — Restaurant in Jekyll Island

Went here for dinner with my wife and daughter on a Wednesday night. Our server was friendly and on point. Drinks were delicious and came quickly, as did the giant pretzel we ordered for an appetizer. Pretzel was nice and hot and tasted very fresh. The sauces served with it were both delicious. My daughter loved her kids cheeseburger, and the sweet potato fries she got with it. The cinnamon sugar butter served with them for dipping made them "extra good". My wife got the steak tacos and loved them. I ordered the shrimp and grits and quickly came to regret it. The andouille sausage was nowhere to be found, and the dish itself was like being served a bowl of soup, as it was beyond runny and just fell straight through the spaces in my fork. Even stranger is that three of the six shrimp were served with tails on while the other three had the tails removed. I get one way or the other, but mix and match? For a dish that's a southern staple I'm not sure how this made it to our table as the food runner (who was not our server) should have seen this isn't how shrimp and grits should be served. . . unless that's how it's always served. To our servers credit, she checked on us quickly, and I was able to order something else. I chose the shrimp tacos, and she got them out to me quickly, and they were incredible, as were the bourbon Brussels sprouts I chose as my side. Without asking to speak to him, the manger came to apologize for the shrimp and grits, which was appreciated. In the end, though I needed a mulligan with my first dinner choice, we all left happy with our experience! I definitely recommend this place, just as I highly recommend not ordering the shrimp and grits unless you're in the mood for an unexpected...

From the moment my wife and I stepped into the lobby of the Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was inviting, and Kimberly at the front desk set the tone for the entire stay. She greeted us with a big smile, made check-in a breeze, and happily answered every question we had — even though we arrived an hour early. No stress, just Southern hospitality at its best!

Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The bed and pillows were so cozy, it felt like sleeping at home — maybe even better. And that ocean view? Absolutely stunning. Waking up to the sight and sound of the waves was pure bliss.

The resort’s amenities were top-tier. We spent time lounging by the pristine pool and soaking in the crystal-clear hot tub — perfect for unwinding. But the real highlight was 24 Coastal Bar & Grill. The food was fantastic — we sampled the pizza, buffalo shrimp, and pork wings, and everything hit the mark. Huge shoutout to Michael (the manager) and our amazing servers, Jenn and Loni, who made every meal feel like a VIP experience.

Evenings were our favorite — sipping drinks by the fire pit, enjoying the coastal breeze, and just taking it all in. It was the kind of peaceful, memorable escape we’d been craving.
