June 15. I would have given a 5 star, (the cook and restaurant deserves 5) but I have not been treated this way in a very long time by a server. My mom and I went to Main St because I have driven by there so many times and wanted to go and check it out. So many cute stores. We wanted something to eat and decided on Jenks Cafe. It stated open 7 days a week…no hours posted so we went in to eat. Such a cute place. We were not greeted. The waitress said only what was required if her in order to serve us. The food was delicious. The restaurant very clean and we were excited. We had the club sandwich and strawberry salad, which we highly recommend. Once we received our food, that was the end of service. The waitress never asked us how things were, if we needed anything. Instead she counted money, swept the floor and was on her phone. I asked for a napkin and she begrudgingly brought me two. Then she brought the check and set it on the table. My water was out and never refilled. She never acknowledged us again. So, when it was time to pay, I did not leave a tip. I have to say, this may be the third time in my 40+ years in not giving a tip but she was incredibly rude. I let her know that I did not want to leave a tip. At that time she said, “By the way we close at 2:30.” I said, “I am really sorry, there were no hours posted.” This was at 2:56. We would not have come in if it was 15 minutes before closing and we took our time and enjoyed the food. I guess this was the reason for the terrible service. As we were walking out she yelled, “Thanks for the tip!” It’s terribly unfortunate because this was a place I would have really recommended to people because of the atmosphere and food. I wish I would have taken a picture of the door. My suggestion would be to put hours on the door, especially if your employee is going to have this type...
Read moreI had gone here a couple of weeks ago for some breakfast and to try out something new, and I was pleasantly surprised to see both the general atmosphere and ambiance be ABSOLUTELY beautiful and well worth the visit!! I had the Rancheros Burrito, if I remember? Rancheros sub? I know it had Rancheros in it, and while it was a bit too spicy for my own taste, I still can't say I didn't enjoy it nonetheless. The Fried Mushrooms appetizer I had with it, while delicious, did leak a bit of hot grease and slightly burned my mouth, but that's kind of just a given. Still would recommend it with a side of Ranch or two.
My waitress was super sweet and very laid back, she served my plates in a calm and gentle manner. I had near to no problems with my food and experience, and if I could get up early again in the morning to see this place...
Read moreNice little place to take a break while at work or visiting downtown Jenks. Very relaxed environment and friendly staff.
The Menu was very well layed-out, easy to understand your options.
Food portions were a bit on the small size but not a deal breaker.
Taste was very good and fresh. I could taste quality in the ingredients.
Bathrooms were small but very well decorated and clean. I noticed there was no AC blowing out of the vent, in fact it felt warm in there I don’t know why.
Improvements: The tables in the middle were too close to the benches. When I moved my chair to get up, I did bump the lady behind me. I could hear very close and in depth the conversation from the ladies behind us. Again, not a deal breaker but I would recommend to revisit the lay out of those tables.
Thank you for the hospitality and...
