La Rumba Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Jennings

While their food and service were great yesterday when my mom and I had lunch there, I have to complain about a charge for coffee refills that was not disclosed. I would have cut the waitress's tip if I had really looked at my bill, so it's my own fault. Shame on me, but every other restaurant gives free coffee refills so I was not watching for it. When I got home and checked the detailed bill thinking that it seemed high, I saw 3x coffee charges. 2.25 each. Totally not happy. Please tell your wait staff to inform people who order coffee that it is by the cup pricing! And MAnagement: hoping you can figure out a way to make coffee refills free and join other restaurants. You already increased all your menu prices, so it should not be...

Warning: I had someone use my credit card (illegally with a Square device), while having dinner here. I was driving from Houston, Texas to New Orleans, Louisiana and stopped here for dinner. I didn't stop anywhere else nor use my credit card otherwise.

The people were very nice, the food was good.. but and unfortunately for this restaurant, someone who had my credit card to process it for my bill also ran it for nearly $3,000 to a company called Hardin, Inc. in Kenner, Louisiana.

I did try to call the number provided by the internet, but the recording says, "They are not receiving calls at this time." I was hoping to talk to someone to warn them but was not able to.. so I figure posting this MAY help...

My daughters and I enjoyed a nice dinner here. As always we loved the cheese dip and chips! My daughter tried the sirloin and it was grilled perfectly and seasoned deliciously. The mash potatoes were very runny and she was turned off by that and didn't eat them. (Maybe next time serve in a ramekin) The steak and chips were enough to fill her up though. The menu claimed the steak meal came with a salad which we never received. I ordered the same thing I always get, a steak quesadilla, it was perfect! My other daughter enjoyed chicken tenders off the kids menu since she's 7. Overall we were pleased with our meal and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a sit down Mexican meal...
