Bambu Desserts & Drinks — Restaurant in Jersey Village

Bambu is a new addiction for me, and I'm so happy to have it in my life. I had driven past many times wondering what their drinks would be like, and several months ago had the stroke of fate to actually go in and try them out for myself. My first experience was with the aptly named Taro Lover (something I do deeply love, which made the hilarious woman behind the container exclaim "What do you know about Taro!"), and that alone was enough to get me hooked. So far I have also tried the Fruit Addict and today stole a sip of my best friend's Red Bean Combo, but the Bambu Special has a firm grip on my heart. As it gets hotter outside (oh Houston, why are your summers so terrible) the refreshing taste, succulent coconut, and fun crunch of basil seeds in the Bambu Special are just what I need to feel reinvigorated. We usually always come here for drinks as it's my mother's favorite, but today we unfortunately got a disgusting drink that caused my partner to gag. They only took one sip from it. We asked if we could exchange it and offered the entire drink back in return as it was still filled to the brim and just purchased 5 minutes ago but they refused to even exchange it and said no refunds. I promise we won't be coming back, it's one thing to not refund it as we understood but we wanted to just exchange it for a drink of the same value that wouldn't have us gagging. I LOVE how the employees go back to the back once u get ur order leaving u alone with ur company and not feel judge or someone listening to ur conversation. I’ve been able to take friends here and catch up with them with no problem or precaution of our conversation because we are visibly alone in the lobby (until other customers come in, ur most of time is lonely and peaceful). The place is always clean and everything taste so good plus is healthy! I’ve never felt so comfortable choosing from a menu not caring what it contains bc everything is real fruit and fresh....
