Big Boy's Donuts — Restaurant in Jerseyville

we were recently passing through town and stopped by (it was an early sunday morning). stopped in to grab a few donuts for the road for my kids and ended up walking out the door with the store.

1.) the donuts are huge 2.) the donuts are delicious 3.) i don't think i've ever tasted anything quite like the cinnamon stick (deft use of cinnamon in the filling). 4.) the owner was extremely kind and generous to my family 5.) despite being kind and generous, by tossing in a few extra goodies, the donuts were inexpensive.

i live several hours away and can't wait to get remotely close to Ono Donuts because i will gladly go out of my to grab a dozen or two. i'm not sure what i am more impressed by though, the donuts or...

I LOVE these ohhhh soooo flavorful, not overly sweet, donuts!!! I came across the shop last year after picking up my son's newly purchased vehicle at the local dealership. I wanted something sweet and never been to Jerseyville, so I took a short drive down the main street. Low and behold, I saw a donut sign in a shopping plaza and had to stop in. I'm so glad I did. My husband and I were greeted upon entering, quickly waited on and the employees were super nice. We each picked out a few and after eating the first one, we wanted to turn back around and get more....lol They're so worth the hour drive from St. Louis and today was the third visit. We bought a much larger order to pass out to our family and friends....

My boyfriend and I got a half dozen doughnuts and 2 bags of doughnut holes for later in the day. When he ate the carmel long John he said he was blinded by the sun reflected off the carmel icing on the doughnut, ensuring he was about to have a great bite. 10 out of 10 recommend these guys. Especially for special birthday...
