Adding to the long list of 1 stars, I came thru tonight and asked the man at the window if the fries could be made fresh, he told me yes. When I got to the window I got my order and noticed the fries were not fresh, I went inside and asked for another one. I told them "i don't mind waiting" but he went to the back and got me a new one. I threw my old fries away and was out of the door within a minute of walking in. As I was walking out to my car I realized they still were barley warm so I went to the drive thru and explained everything that just happened, when I got to the window I was handed another fry by Megan. Before pulling away I checked them and for the 3rd time it wasn't fresh. I told her again I just wanted fries that were hot. and she ran back to get another one and said "this is the best their gonna get". So I went back inside with 3 large cold fries and before i could say anything, Megan said she has dropped me fresh fries 3 times but she will do it again. at that point I just wanted a refund for them. Megan said she couldn't do a refund because shes dropping fresh fries and the person that could do it is on break. I asked how long it would be and she said 30 minutes. Immediately Sam walked into the back and Megan was explaining to her what happened, then Sam walks to the fryer and looks at me and says "see look the fries are coming up fresh" but said it like she was talking to a toddler, her and Megan were laughing about it. My whole wait inside they were talking about me like I was ridiculous for wanting fries that were made fresh or a refund. They were extremely rude every time we spoke. I walked out of this store crying. My boyfriend was out in the car and went inside, and after waiting 5 minutes to be helped at the counter and Sam arguing with him about it she finally gave us a refund for the fries. I don't understand why Sam could give my boyfriend a refund but they repeatedly told me they couldn't do it, even though he walked in not even a minute after i walked out. Those 2 girls need retrained on how to deal with unsatisfied consumers. I don't know if the fryers aren't working right or they just like to mess with costumers or both. Read moreI have visited this location twice in the last month and they have messed up the order both times. 1st I ordered two Big Macs, got back to work to have a filet o fish and 10 nugget. I returned to the store and as I walked in passed an amplitude who said “is your order wrong?” I responded “yes” her next response was “big surprise”. Baffled that your own employees would say such a thing I continued on and got my order replaced. Today I visited the store for the second time—ordered the two cheeseburger meal (no pickle, extra onion) with an unsweetened tea and a bbq sauce . I got to the window and was asked to pull forward. The girl came out with two bags of food and said “what’d you have?” She was not even informed of which car should be getting. I quickly checked the bag for bbq sauce since I specifically ordered it at the speaker and did not have any. After getting the sauce I returned to work to find out that not only were my cheese burgers wrong but my unsweetened tea was sweet. This was the final straw. I took the food and drink back and requested a refund. I am personally a former employee of Bethalto McDonald’s and the actions I watched take place at Jerseyville never would have been allowed at the Bethalto store. Read moreWith 10 or 12 workers in the kitchen. It took them 20 minutes to prepare the items. I know it is hard work in the kirchen at a restaurants. But when you have to wait 5 minutes to place an order. And when you do, the cashier isn't in uniform, but in normal street clothes. And since there was already one person waiting. There was nobody behind me, when I place the order. I don't mind waiting for 5 minutes. But when orher customers order after me, recieve their orders and leave. 10 minutes come and go, and I still keep my call, as well other customers come and go. 15 minutes passed, and I start to sigh, and show my order number. Then about 20 minutes, I finally received the order.. The taste is the food, when I got it wasn't the best. The burger taste more lile sausage, as if the grill wasn't prepared from breakfast. I dont mind the taste of pepper. But it was semi warm. I didn't yell or make a scene, cause my daughter was with me. But I did eat it and left.
I worked for fast food restaurants before. And know how hard it is. The common courtesy, would be "I am sorry, but it will take xx time for your order".
