Wendy's — Restaurant in Johnson City

To start, this has been my experience with the drive through. I have no desire to enter. In the vein of trying to come off seriously, there will be no hyperbolic language. The staff there are proficient and kind, but when something goes wrong that is out of their hand, they return to the window disgruntled and with one specific manager that I've unfortunately been very familiar with. The same manager that has told me that their ID backs machine has broken twice now. (Which I've had a problem with at Kroger, but they actually tried and succeeded in troubleshooting their machine) I will also say that the manager doesn't understand how a microphone works and each time I've been greeted by them, it has been a jarring experience. It costs $9.37 for two frosties and two medium drinks, which is hardly worth the 10 minutes it took for the one person in front of me to receive their order. Let alone the sub par taste of frosties and a drink I could get anywhere else for atleast 90 cents cheaper. Speaking of taste, the last time I got food at this location, I swore off ordering food from then on. I ordered a salad and chive baked potato, which I guess I shouldn't have done. The salad, to start, was hardly fresh. They washed old vegetables and through it into a plastic bowl. Their baked potato was completely devoid of flavor as well. It was somehow dry and they gave myself and the person with us one packet of tasteless sour cream to share. Might I add that both potatoes we ordered were supposed to come with sour cream and we asked for extra. Overall, I would stay clear of this location until they do something about the management. First of all, I really didn’t want to make this review because that means that really mean Wendys employee won Thursday night I went through there made an order at 12:20 AM at night. They are open until one know if they would’ve pulled me through the window telling me that they were short stuff I would’ve been OK but they left 20 cars in the drive-through before close. I came up to the speaker after 20 minutes of waiting because I made a mobile order. They told me that their systems were down and they didn’t know that there were cars outside……. They have windows……. I just want to say I looked at them and I said OK then the lady on the speaker said yes so I’m so sorry about that then stopped talking because she cut off her speaker. I know this because I’ve worked fast food before so I pull forward to the window because I don’t know what’s going on I get to the window and they tell me that they are now closed because of now 40 minutes of waiting because I made a mobile order and I didn’t want what exactly happened to happen where I don’t get refunded so I’m obviously upset at this point because what have they been doing? I know that they do meth in this Wendy’s but come on. And so long story short I didn’t get my money back and I was treated horribly at the window. They flipped me off and told me to leave because they’re not arguing with me even though they gave me the worst customer experience and they...

Sunday lunch, not too busy but kinda slow- even for Wendy's... I think they were missing a few people. But the guy working the counter handled it beautifully & with humor. There seemed to be a bit of divide between window & counter, but eventually came together. The food was at a level I expect from Wendy's - #6 combo- sandwich perfect, I'm not usually big fan of the fries, but they hit right on this day. Wish everyone would get away from self-serve ketchup!! 2 things of note that have stayed with Me: 1) this location displays inclusivity, in several categories therefore is a good example of a business as an ally, advocate, & ambassador. If this matters to you, 💜 this location. 2) The NEW FROSTY IS FANTABULOUS! Be warned, as I was, it tastes more like butterscotch than salted caramel, if that matters. But it was perfect! Sticks with traditional thickness, creaminess, coldness, etc. of a chocolate frosty BUT addictive buttery-sweet yumminess!!

Go get one, y'all. Apparently they're open...
