This was my first and last experience with Cyd and her team. The food was decent. I didn't feel it was special or above and beyond. I felt it was arranged nicely in platters, but nothing I could not have done myself. Where I'm truly disappointed is here...1. I called for an explanation of an item and the owner answered and directed me to the website. I wanted someone to describe "assorted desserts" I think that's fair and not to be put back to a page that didn't have it listed. This is your food Cyd, you should be the one to take command for telling people what you offer. Second, every item was wrapped and dropped on my table. Your employee DID NOT finish helping unwrap do any setup. I dropped off your cleaned service and dishes and she's said she would bring that to your attention and you would call or do something to make it up to me. No one did. So.... for those that are looking for catering just know that they are okay, but have their quirks and issues. They did not get a 5 star rating because they didn't do that for me. They did the very minimum.
12/6/23 Edit Cyd And staff...I really appreciate your response here, but I would've never left a public review if you had listened to your associate when I dropped off the service wear, but you didn't. I am a woman and would always choose local and female-owned, but you didn't treat me right and this could've been avoided had you called me and treated me like it mattered. Woman to woman. I've had my own business and understand what it takes, you could've apologized and taken 5 minutes to call or sent an email, especially since it was my first experience with your business, but you were paid and simply didn't care until you saw my opinion.
Best wishes, happy holidays and lessons...
Read moreJust do it. Spend the extra money and go with Cyd's. You'll be so glad you did. I was recommended this place by several people and I found myself organizing a socially distanced outdoors boss's day luncheon for our team. At first I was feeling panicked when I sent everyone the menu. I was thinking '18 bucks for a sandwich? They're gonna kill me. I should've just done your average panera bread or something lame'. Our boss is a healthy eater and we wanted to impress, so we moved forward. The lunch was a huge hit! We all found ourselves giddy over the never-ending bag of delicious goodies. It's like Cyd was in each of our brains, knowing exactly what everyone would want next. They really don't hype up the extent of their services. You get so much. It's really like 2 meals. We had multiple dips and hummus and guacamole, high-end dessert, nuts, chips and salad. She included this homemade vanilla whipped cream with peaches that was one of the best things I've ever tasted. I'm going to try to use this catering as much as I can. I want to have this lunch once a week working from home. And a nice option for a girls night! This lunch reminded me of something you'd get at your fanciest lunch in Chicago. All in, it is really a bang for your buck. Crunchy, fresh veggies, high quality meats, nuts and fruit. Cyd - I see now what all the fuss is about. Your catering...
Read moreWe hired Cyd’s for our wedding this July and they served up a fantastic taco bar! It feels like an understatement to call it a taco bar, because there was so much delectable food. Chef Cyd’s was quick to book, easy to pay and see statements online, and showed up on time with lots of servers. They were ready to go when dinner needed to be served. Our guests raved about the food. Truthfully, my new hubby and I were too nervous and excited to eat much, and we were actually really sad the next day, because we had an appetite and remembered how good everything looked and tasted. The setup looked nice. We highly recommend hiring them for any catering opportunity, including for your wedding. Also, those sopapillas were bomb and I am STILL hearing about how...
