Here it is Jan1, 2020. My wife and I decided to go back to Red Ginger for lunch. We went Xmas day with friends for the first time and thought it was pretty good. It was priced reasonable and real nice big potions. We had crab raccoons and beef Teriyaki along with our orders. We came away satisfied. The service was a little slow because there was only one waitress. She did a fabulous job. She was busier than a one arm paper hanger, but never got rattled. Just kept working and moving. All and all we were all satisfied. So today we thought we give it another go! It was great! Poor Kenny was by himself because the help hadn’t gotten in yet. We were his first customer for the afternoon. Kenny took right care of us! Got our water, tea and our order of crab raccoons and teriyaki beef and in no time our appetizer order was on our table. Hot and cooked perfectly and very tasty! We soon had our bowl of wonton soup. Before that was finished we had our dinner order on our table. Hot, cooked perfectly and again delicious! By that time other customers were coming in and Kenny was right out straight. He held it together quite nicely, but he was busy and waiting for his help to arrive. We left with food in boxes. The first time I ate all of mine. This time I couldn’t eat it all. I don’t understand negative reviews at least not during this period of time. Give it a shot! I think you will...
Read moreThe dishes at Red Ginger are always fresh and delicious and you always get your moneys worth. Except for his time. We paid over $45 for a general Taos combo, an order of egg rolls, one order shrimp nine chow, house special lo mein, lg hot and sour soup and steamed mixed veggies which normally wouldn’t be a bad price for that much food.
However, the lo mein came in a white styrofoam container which means it was NOT my money’s worth. It usually has chunks of chicken beef pork and shrimp and is never or under cooked! This time, there were scarce pieces of tiny canned shrimp and a couple strips of dried/over cooked pork with a few matchstick veggies. The soup was, without any exaggeration, 85% broth and a few scraps of tofu and mushroom. I was absolutely disgusted. No crunchy soup noodles on the side either! Finally, the mixed veggies was $8 and was honestly, 75% cabbage! The generals and the nine chow was as good as always.
I’ve been going here for years and this was the worst experience I ever had! I felt so upset about this experience i had to leave a review even though the owners are beautiful people. It was not by far...
Read moreOn NYE I placed an order using their website which gave me a pick up estimate for 5:15PM but never got a notice that the food was ready to be picked up so I started calling- when I finally got through at 630PM I could hear a busy restaurant and the woman who answered said only her manager handled online orders, he would call me call back because he was on the phone with another customer. At 9:30 PM he called saying my food was ready 30 mins ago and 😳 I told him I’d placed that order hours ago and had cooked a meal for my family instead since they didn’t come through. His response was that their messages go through an answering service and he never got the message that I called… not an apology or even an offer to deliver it? I was super glad I had opted to pay in-person instead of paying online. I was really annoyed but after reading these reviews I feel we probably...
