Silvio's — Restaurant in Johnston

This is a nice Italian place. They have a nice selection of pastas, chicken and veal, and seafood dishes. Special tonight was Lobster Fra Diavolo. White cotton tablecloth , cloth napkins, friendly staff, and most importantly, good food.

Nancy had the chicken parm which was absolutely excellent, I had Seafood fra diavolo which was very good generous portions. The focaccia bread was very very good. I'll definitely be going back.

Entrees run in the 20 to $30 range, glass of wine is about $11, my Martini was $10.

The owners, Silvio and AnnMarie, are excellent hosts who care about your dining experience. Their generous proportions are elegantly simple, delivering a stunning depth of flavor, and cooked to perfection. Pared with the perfect wine from their abundant wine list, Silvio's is the one restaurant to which you will return. While there may be many other "authentic" Italian restaurants in Johnston, Silvio's is the only place to dine in Rhode Island.

I was a bit unhappy with the Italian food, the sauce was very bland & the soups just didn't taste that good.. The noodle choices are a little different, & if it wasn't for our waitress I would of left very unhappy.. As far as the Old, Romantic, Fun & Clean Laid back place you may like to find, it just isn't it! Maybe they could put some money & new decorating skills into the Italian Restaurant & look into some older...
