Let me tell you about The Italian Bakery, The Bread Boss. I walked in there to pick up some desserts and I felt like I stepped into a little slice of Rome. The women behind the counter? Polite, welcoming, and helpful—like your favorite aunt who always makes sure you’re fed.

Now, this place isn’t fancy, but who needs fancy? It’s got that simple, neighborhood charm that makes you feel right at home. Reminds me of those small bakeries I visited in Rome where the ambiance is all about the food and the friendly faces.

What an amazing bakery. I was visiting Rhode Island and came across this place. Walking in you are immediately hit with the smell of home baking. The fresh smell of bread is wonderful. I had Christina help me and she was so amazingly nice and patient with me trying to decide what to get out of what seemed like a hundred choices. With her guidance I narrowed it down to lemon squares and blueberry and cheese danishes. It was such a treat to my tastebuds. I need to travel more. I would recommend anyone near Johnston Rhode Island to stop and enjoy their baked goods. Your tastebuds will forever be thankful for the work they put into these treats. Always get my bread there. Usually stop in the summer n grab spinach pies n pig in blanket n they look huge but you take a bite and it's all dough. I actually cut it in half n still dough. There was a spoonful I would guess of spinach in the middle. I was at the beach n always save it to show them but when you are hungry you just eat the damm thing. I make calzones n I have requests to take them to a cookout. My family cant get enough of them. I overstuffed them. So good. Who wants all dough. All the different calzones are like that.
